South African neighbourhoods with the best broadband speeds

New analysis by MyBroadband Insights revealed that Doringkloof, Bromhof, and Linden are the South African neighbourhoods with the fastest average fixed broadband speeds.

This analysis is based on 600,000 speed test results collected through MyBroadband’s speed test app between 22 August 2021 and 22 November 2021.

The download speed, upload speed, and latency of the user’s broadband connection are tested during these tests.

Top Mobile Broadband Neighbourhoods in South Africa

My guess is, these areas do not have fibre, people are very dependent on mobile broadband - hence the high speeds linked to high usage i.e. big upgrades to the backhaul and RF from the Mobile Operators

5ms?! That is 3 to many by Welgevonden Cloetesville standards.

I was on 1gbps for a few months but so few servers actually give you that speed so back to 100 I went.
