Fastest fixed Internet neighbourhoods in South Africa

Randpark Ridge in Gauteng boasts the fastest fixed broadband speeds in South Africa, according to research by Analytico.

The market research and network intelligence firm analysed thousands of Internet speed test results measured MyBroadband's Speed Test platform in the third quarter of 2024.

And how does the speed test determine location exactly? Because if its off the IP geolocation its hardly a surprise that the results will concentrate in Randburg because thats where the telco interconnects are…

My suburb have the 1gbs fibre. I only signed up for 100mb line.

If everyone signed up for 1gbs we would also be a neighbourhood with the fatest fibre.

Doesn't matter how fast your connection to the internet is if your wifi is poor.
