South African stores to extend specials for Black Friday

That's a good idea. Still going to be crazy busy on Friday if the deals are good.

From 2nd - 29th? So they must rename it Black November not Black Friday.
Its all about marketing. Convincing people that the product they are getting is heavily discounted when in fact its old stock that needs to be cleared so there is anyway discounts from suppliers. The entire idea around black Friday is terrible, but an easy ploy to get people to spend money on an item that was 10% more expensive during the year.

Black Friday isn't a thing here anymore, #1 retailers are milking it now by changing the definition of a deal on Friday to R2 off for the hole of November on a different products and #2 the ANC made sure the ZAR is not competitive so electronics are cheaper to buy and import via Amazon & Banggood (Who refunds you the import costs)

First time that I have something Im hoping to buy on black friday. I want (not need) a new Garmin watch. I can do without it for a while longer if the “deals” are meh. Lets hold thumbs

Older stock at reduced priced ok with me!

It's evident that the only "shoppers" with cash for this western bling-bling frivolity, will be anc's marxist civil servants who earned full salary and benefits - ℅ the 8% free market taxpayers during the lockdown?

will be a bleak Christmas and Black Friday I'm betting.

people unemployed, lost jobs, destitute.

but if they offer something worthwhile maybe people will buy,
especially food, espcially if its a good deal on something used a lot,

like 2L bottles of Original (full sugar) Coke for R10, that I'm sure will go down well.

Just been thinking...has no one objected to the term "Black Friday"? Julema? What you say?:laugh::laugh:

Does this also extend the availability / number items; or do they stay the same :X3:
Oh look we've got these 10 tvs at befok pricing

However, we'll be open for a few days running the special for your safety. No stress, no worries and no one will horde
