Im always amazed at the split personality the ANC has.
New leadership comes in and blames the last leadership as if it was a completely different organization.
No Eskom, you are the same POS ANC run mess that you were when loadshedding started, you dont get to try and put that blame on the public.

Thinking about it, they are correct. South Africans, specifically the voting majority, shoulder a lot of blame for the state of the country. They were warned about Zuma and they gave the ANC a near two-thirds majority with him at the helm. Then they gave Zuma a second term when the serious cracks started showing. Then they voted for them again, believing that Zuma was somehow not the ANC and that things would change, after a decade of looting and gutting of Eskom and the state at large.

Every election win for the ANC is the voting majority accepting what is going on. They had the chance to try and change course but they didn't and still haven't, placing blind faith in a party that has done nothing to justify it.

The same electorate will probably put Mabuza in power as well, when everything tells you what a stuff up that will be.

As a collective we did.

He's right. SA accepted it by voting the ANC in over and over again - and never should have done so. Remarkable political statement by a political deployee...
Tee up to blame van Riebeeck. . . .

South Africans should never accept load-shedding, says Eskom

South Africans should have never accepted load-shedding when it started 14 years ago, Eskom spokesperson Sikonathi Mantshantsha said.

Speaking to ENCA, he said a lack of maintenance and not bringing new generation capacity online is to blame for the continued load-shedding across the country.

He further highlighted that with the existing infrastructure, there is no way load-shedding can be eliminated.

“This is why Eskom formerly asked the government in December 2019 to procure an additional 4,000MW of capacity,” he said.
We got duped when they started building Medupi and Kusile. That was supposed to end our woes but instead somehow managed to tack on 400bn in debt burden. FOL.

They're not wrong. South Africans have a choice who they vote for.

Why is cvnt Mantshantsha even suggesting that citizens need to accept some responsibility?

The god-damn ANC should have never looted the SOE.
