Im pretty sure it was a great game, Bafana Bafana can learn something here. From the past years I already saw that they were coming up. Congratulations, they made us proud!

Great stuff from Ellis to finally do it. Might be hard for Banyana to keep her after this as club football is more lucrative.

Even Proteas women doing better than Proteas men. One thing that helps women's sport is that that there are less egos involved in it so players just concentrate on developing themselves.

I disagree im my honest opinion it has to do with other factors which needs a whole thread about. Womens sports has always been renowned, from hockey, netball to golf, I doubt ego has much to do with it. Our women are always good in sports, its the attention by spectators that always get things wrong.

When you want something done properly, send women. Well done. These are the teams that deserve massive cash injection... Not the Instagram and Tik Tok stars that play for the men's team...

It was South Africa all the way, Morocco didn't stand a chance, the nice thing with this win is that on our way to the final, we beat the much stronger Super Eagles of Nigeria and another stronger side of Zambia... So the victory is well deserved even if the final opponent was a bit "tamed"

Well done to Banyana, perhaps the sweetest thing is that they beat Morocco at home, boy I hate those North Africans and their bullying tactics, to the ladies credit though, they played a fair game and were very gracious in defeat, their men's team would have caused a scene.

Men's team didn't even qualify for AFCON tournament. Just shows how crap the men's team is.

I couldn't watch. Were the fans not shining laser lights at our team as is customary in a number of countries?

No way they were not going to, it's all they know, lasers and those smoke things, at one point the pitch was all gray from the smoke, hope Motsepe clamps down on the nonsense because he spoke about it before the game.

That's why I never root for their teams. I despise the lasers and undermining of refs.

Seoposenwe the standout player for me. To be honest, I thought they wouldn't win after Thembi Kgatlana was injured.
Sometimes things happen for a reason, Kgatlana is a very special player but I felt she wasn't in the right frame of mind for the tournament, she was very selfish in some games, especially in the one where she got injured or the one prior.

What ultimately won the tournament is the teamwork from the girls, at no point after Kgatlana's injury did I feel any of the players were playing for personal glory, they lifted each other, complemented each other's strengths and made up for each other's weaknesses.

Hopefully everyone learnt from this tournament because even if we won I still feel there's way more potential in the team and we are still not putting away most of the chances we create. Hopefully the technical staff is assisted and we go on a huge recruitment drive to bolster the squad, and fine tune the technique before the World Cup.
