I hate this country.
Run by useless pieces of **** that can't do anything but steal.
No power. No water.
I'm sick of it.

Nope, I moved from Honeydew to Little Falls. So stayed in Roodepoort.Slightly OT, I could be wrong but were you not based in WC or did you move something?

There isn't another coffee shop in Stellenbosch?I get this attitude at a coffee shop today in Stellenbosch. Two "employees" slumped over the counter taking ****. Politely ask for coffee. Get this "Oh look another goddam, pos customer" look.
Slowly lifts her dead weight off the table and heaves to stand up. Other one just sits there staring at me like I have just asked her to hack her own arm off.
Other one already up slowly snails toward the coffee machine waking like Lawrence of Arabia who has just trekked 100 miles through the desert without water.
Took about 12 mins to get a cappuccino. This is the overall service delivery attitude in SA which starts at the top and has permeated right down to the roots.
It's not a municipality, it's a coffee shop, here in Joburg you just pop into the next one. I honestly don't understand why you have to put yourself through the ordeal.Exactly what those two employees were thinking. You summed it up.
"There are plenty of other municipalities. If you don't like this one then why are you still here" attitude.
I think you’re missing the point his making that kark work ethic & all from our pielkoppe in charge filter down to all. It becomes the norm. It's not a municipality, it's a coffee shop, here in Joburg you just pop into the next one. I honestly don't understand why you have to put yourself through the ordeal.
Thanks, actually just drove past the Engen garage and saw the worksite was abandoned. So hopefully they finished and the water is returning.@Mike Angelo

Johannesburg Water apologises to customers for the inconvenience caused."
So hats off to the people for actually fixing everything. Hopefully we'll get water soon. Phew I was angry earlier. I still feel a bit irritated.
Have another cup of coffee. You are deflecting and trying to detract from the example provided which sums up the overall attitude of service delivery in SA.
Don't talk to me like I'm an idiot. Maybe the next guy is going to have idiot written on his t-shirt. Go and find him. You have the wrong person.
I moved from Wilgeheuwel to Wilgeheuwel across the roadDoesn't look like we will get water tonight.

So there is that point to be made but I think it also misses something..I think you’re missing the point his making that kark work ethic & all from our pielkoppe in charge filter down to all. It becomes the norm.
Yeah, no, it's probably just a Stellenbosch thing, here in the economic hub the hospitality industry is still top notch, they literally beg you to come and have coffee while you are walking on the street, minding your business.I think you’re missing the point his making that kark work ethic & all from our pielkoppe in charge filter down to all. It becomes the norm.
To be honest the thing of politicians infecting people with attitude is a tale we come up with when we have run out of things to say about politicians, people are far too busy with their daily lives to copy politicians attitude, so the most likely reason why the coffee ladies who were serving Solarion had attitude is that they have been like that all along, the ANC did not take them to courses for the behaviour. So there is that point to be made but I think it also misses something..
Yes the front line staff and lowly paid staff have shyte attitudes and work ethics, but in the munis there are lots of actual workers who work their asses off behind the front lines and they're just as handicapped by the front line and the political toss heads above them.
See? there's always something to be positive about, there's no reason to allow some mean women in a coffee shop spoil you day, next time they do that, drink water.Lots of water in Stellenbosch. Plenty for coffee. The DA likes coffee too I think.
