To be honest the thing of politicians infecting people with attitude is a tale we come up with when we have run out of things to say about politicians, people are far too busy with their daily lives to copy politicians attitude, so the most likely reason why the coffee ladies who were serving Solarion had attitude is that they have been like that all along, the ANC did not take them to courses for the behaviour.
So I'm not saying the politicians infect people with attitude...

Low paid workers are generally not the happiest ppl on the planet at the best of times.

My comment on the hard workers in the middle is that they get fscked by both sides, front line workers give the muni a bad perception from the residents because its who they have to interact with, and the politicians fsck things up which makes work hard the guys in the middle.

Service delivery in SA is up to **** and that attitude starts at the top. No amount of weaponized obtusness and deflection, clever word plays and self impressive sarcasm is going to fix the problem when attitudes like yours, on display for all to see, is what has SA in a firm grasp, this couldn't give a ****, it's all a joke, all just a forum game attitude.

People out there are suffering and dying because of shitty service delivery and all you want to do is harp on about a cup of coffee without actually seeing the big picture. This is why SA is a mess, it's joke around, big game attitudes like yours.

Wake up and smell reality pal, SA is in big trouble right now.
Nah, if you get bad service delivery at a shop or any private business you can be sure it's the culture of the place, it has nothing to do with the top, so there is honestly no bigger picture as far as your coffee experience is concerned.

Sometimes there is just no deeper meaning to things, a rude person is just rude, not because the rudeness was inculcated into them by some higher power.

Same story as every other SOE and Municipality.

BEE cadres deployed into top positions. While there they begin to build their own self enrichment network. They seed the institution with their own BEE cadres who have connections and know how to channel money away from the government and into their own pockets.

The ANC have facilitated, enabled and encouraged this. Reason? These networks all form a powerful support structure for those at the top. The keys to power as they say.

This rot within every SOE and Municipality is not something that will ever go away. It will get worse and more fierce. There is no accountability. The entire government and judicial system is not only infested by these networks of power, but is in fact built on them and cannot function(?) without them.

When corruption becomes the foundation of a society, there is no turning back without completely destroying the entire system either through war or through a catastrophic natural disaster which breaks down the entire system to the point of anarchy, and civil war and chaos. This is how all countries started. This is the starting point to go back to.

I do not see any other way to dig out an overwhelming infestation of woodborer and rats in this country's house without burning it down to the foundation as is common with houses who's owners took leave of all senses of responsibility and consequences.

Grahamstown — The Mandela years had been all about placating minority groups, but now the ANC -- with a strong backing from the majority -- was moving to take control of "all the levers of power", ANC Grahamstown zonal chairman Chris Mbekela said at a press conference here yesterday. Mbekela was responding to questions about the ANC taking control of as many official positions as it could at local level.

Yeah, no, it's probably just a Stellenbosch thing, here in the economic hub the hospitality industry is still top notch, they literally beg you to come and have coffee while you are walking on the street, minding your business.

Yeah, like the guy at OR Tambo that welcomes you into his office when all you want is a pee. Opportunists abound.

I get this attitude at a coffee shop today in Stellenbosch. Two "employees" slumped over the counter taking ****. Politely ask for coffee. Get this "Oh look another goddam, pos customer" look.

Slowly lifts her dead weight off the table and heaves to stand up. Other one just sits there staring at me like I have just asked her to hack her own arm off.

Other one already up slowly snails toward the coffee machine waking like Lawrence of Arabia who has just trekked 100 miles through the desert without water.

Took about 12 mins to get a cappuccino. This is the overall service delivery attitude in SA which starts at the top and has permeated right down to the roots.
Please post this review to Google reviews of the said coffee shop. Sounds hilarious. And who knows, you might get a free coffee from owner.:ROFL:

Which top? Top of "that" particular private company or are we blaming the dictator Cyril now ?
Now you know who to blame when you get bad service at PnP, the guy at a car wash doing a shoddy job, your helper or gardener giving you attitude, it's the WMC puppet's fault.

See? there's always something to be positive about, there's no reason to allow some mean women in a coffee shop spoil you day, next time they do that, drink water.
There are very few people/coffee shops that does not spoil my day making a cup. Most of them are actually very friendly and nice people, but when they make that cup it is as if they fill it with the hate and abuse from their childhood. Better to drink a glass of municipal water and make a cup at home. Everyone is happy then.

Unless I ask for takeaway... Then it must be in a proper mug.
Exactly! I asked him what the hell did he do that for. I've never seen someone transferring coffee so quickly to a mug. Profusely apologising as if he committed the biggest sin on this planet. All he needed to do was add a block of ice and call it a milkshake. Eish.

Now apply the same reasoning to your beloved ANC.
They have and are *ucking up the country.
Everything (and I mean every single thing) they touch turns to schit.
It's a special type/kind of moron that support them.

Hey comrade. ;)

Anyone who has convinced himself that the attitude of government has no affect on attitudes of the citizens, is being so wilfully dishonest with himself, that he is now at the point in his life where he can absolutely convince himself that he is a pink flamingo that breathes fire.
It looks like you were not educated in proper Western ways. I was and we learn that we don't get affected by crappy people in government and on this forum.
