So wait something implemented 30 years ago can't be changed by the new people? I mean they've changed everything else
Of course it can. But self-proclaimed socialists are less likely to do so. It's why I said "even more to blame", not "only to blame". They all have a share of blame, as do the Nat-supporting voters before 1994 who created the system of heavy state regulation and control of fuel, mainly to shore up their cronies in state-created Sasol.

Even more to blame are the Nats before them -- it's the white minority government that created the system of government price control of fuel.
You are right. It's the Nats fault that the ANC can't change the system.

Thanks for proving the corrupt ANC's incompetence.

If you think either the Nats or the ANC are exclusively to blame you are mistaken. I blame the Nats and I blame the ANC.

The Nats can be blamed for a lot of things.

This is not one of them.

By 1994 the Nats had for >30 years been running their crony-capitalist fuel cartel with state-determined prices above the market price, extracting higher-than-market prices for petrol from the hapless SA consumer. The ANC government preserved that legacy.

Ever looked at the taxes we pay on every litre of fuel?

Now compare it with those countries.
You sure you want to go there? Which countries should we compare with? China? Hong Kong? Europe? France? Germany? The US? The UK? Let's compare the taxes we pay with them then...

On average it's about the same, btw

It’s these 1st world countries and their wind farms that are not working that are burning all the oil and creating demand, now we have to suffer, especially now since they’re having their winter.

OK, but I posted a link showing fuel prices are reaching record highs in Asia and Europe, buddy, and you asked me to compare our fuel taxes with those countries, buddy... So stop moving the goalposts, buddy
