I call boloxIt takes three minutes for the house to be completely aflame from the start of the blaze. Your average lounge flammability is the equivalent of about 50 litres of petrol. Unless they can respond and be fighting fire within three minutes, the house and contents are a write off anyway. Their main purpose is to ensure the fire doesn't spread to the neighbours.
I've been to many fires even a thatch or two and it takes longer that.
You cannot generalize like that and not expect to be called out.
Every house is different as are the contents and every fire is also different.
