Still feel MSN should not be on that list. Since most non computer literate people still run win XP and opening IE brings you to that page.

Agreed.

Also, how on earth is Google.co.za not top of that list, never mind on it?

These weird numbers remind me of the song by C+C Music Factory... "Things That Make You Go Hmmm..."

Everyone should remember that this compulsory monthly article is bull****! It is not South Africa's biggest websites, it is only Effective Measure's members biggest websites.

Effective Measures does not measure all website traffic, but only paying members. Paying members, such as MyBB are forced to use their tracking code and promote the brand, so that is why we see these articles every month.

Also, Effective Measure does not measure 0.001% of all websites in South Africa, so their stats cannot be seen representing South Africa at all.

I know this is not accurate, but if you want to get a better understanding of Internet stats in South Africa, go to Alexa.com. They use different measures, which are not accurate, but at least 90% more accurate than that of Effective Measures.

IE default homepage

MSN got 3.7 million unwilling visitors
