South Africa's websites: News24 continues its dominance

Hey RPM,

I remember back when the site first opened, did you ever think it would get this far?

Did you run the website following any academic rules or recommendations or another method?

Would be an interesting article if you described your recipe for a successful website.

no wonder people in our country seem to be getting more negative! news24 is like an acid pit of bad news and even worse comments :/

Hmm, I can't get to news 24 from my telkom account. Probably most people cant when they are on local only. It probably would have been higher then.

News24 has the industry by the balls! I used to work for IOL and I think I know why they are so far behind... INNOVATION, INNOVATION, INNOVATION!!!

Unless I am reading the numbers wrong, it seems that there is a healthy number of international readers floating around (a.k.a. lurking :) :p) in the pages of MyBB?

Nice! :)

I don't support News24 at all. The less I can have to do with Naspers and all their crap the better.

Yes I agree but I keep coming back - why? There's got to be intersting SA news somewhere.

Maybe it has something to do with the way Opera Mini processes web pages

Or maybe it's all the thousands of Chinese spambots signing up new accounts all the time, there are at least 2 or 3 per day. They also stay on the user list as far as I know, (just showing banned) so they make it appear like mybb has far more members than it actually does.
