Just to update you guys that Southern Legion [ZA] is still going stronger than ever in Guild Wars 2, and we made some extra space today for anyone else who wants a invite as our guild was limited the whole time on 500 members.

We got about 50 Spots free again so hurry if you wanna be in the Largest South African Guild on Aurora Guild on Guild Wars 2 :)

We have weekly events and going strong with our Guild Missions, which we all enjoy as a team in the guild.

Visit our website for more information.

So the guild leader left and the guild as a whole is in disarray - no interim commanders, no guild events for the last 10 days and no-one has a clue what will happen. The website is down and no flow of communication.

@Shirou - I know you stepped down, but I think it's worthwhile to update a status on FB and ingame on GW2.

Darn. I was thinking about joining at some point. Still just cruising around by myself at the moment. But will probably want to get some online buddies to play with. Will keep an eye out to see what develops with Southern Legion.

Southern Legion wasnt the biggest SA guild, they may have had 500 members but very few were active. Scatterlings of Africa (GWSA) was and still is. The organization is great, there are always guild events and a very active group running wvw, pvp and pve.
If you want to get into an SA guild then I would suggest looking there. Besides we have our own wvw mini zerg \0/

Cool, thanks for the heads up. Personally I dont care how big or small a guild is. Im just looking to have some fun with friends playing together. Do you guys have a FB group or website? How should I get in contact with you in the future to join?

Nice thing about SL still is that it's a relaxed group of people - I do think eventually they will sort it out, members are active put not as well organised as some others on wvw, pvp and pve. But you could always call on SL members if you were stuck or needed help. I do think that there are a few great SA guilds.

The website is:

There is also a facebook group:

Guild size doesnt matter much but its nice to have many active players so that you can easily find dungeon groups/get help in pve or roll around on teamspeak with a decent size group in wvw.

I have played with some very nice peeps from ZA and Im not batting the guild in any way.
Im sure things will get sorted out there and that there wont be any fighting in guild.
Magic are you in ZA? would be nice to try and get some co-ordination for wvw with guilds in SA so that we can be more effective.

Cool thanks. Ill definitely check you guys out.

Very true about needing active players. Good point.

Just out of interest, does it matter much if I dont have any high level chars yet? I just started playing last week so i've only got one lvl 17 ele so far. Do you guys mostly do end game stuff?

I am in ZA. Shirou left and Bushbaby is taking over and is busy sorting out new forum/website. I have not spent much time in the last 2 days on GW2 so I am unsure if anything happened. With the patches yesterday I doubt any guild events happened though. PM me your handle and I will whisper ;-)

High level means very little. Its all about people doing stuff together and enjoying the game. GW2 is not about endgame and there isnt much of it, so there is no worry there. Most of the big events - like the current southsun stuff will uplevel you so that you can play even if you are low level.

Ahh awesome, glad someone is stepping up. Its not easy to run a guild especially when the guild leader leaves. The new patch didnt add much, just a single player and explorable group "dungeon"
Will pm you. Are there any active wvw guys in the guild anymore? Been having mad fun in it lately even though pvp is not my thing.

Tks for the PM - dropped you an in-game msg for an invite. In ZA there are pockets of guys doing wvw/pvp/fractals - many farm and do map completions (hunting for the legendary) - I will check out GWSA - need a ton of guild commendations and this is at the moment not happening at ZA, so I might just become unfaithful.

We do a minimum of 2 guild missions on a sunday night at 8pm. This Sunday we did 3. We always have 35+ people doing them and its great fun. I think I got 5 commendations on Sunday for the various events so it was good going. Its so much better having "babysitters" when you doing a guild rush to give heals and to take out the random mobs on the course.

Just a update guys.. ZA is still running but no longer by me, it was taken over by Bushbaby he was the old guild leader when we first started the guild when it was released, we had some good communications and he was interested in leading it again, after agreements i told him that he can now lead ZA again if interested and he was very keen.

Due to RL problems i had no choice to step down and focus some time on my personal problems, so lately i have just been enjoying GW2 when i have some free time, ZA is still in very good hands and Bushbaby will sure get everything sorted, i am just waiting for the new Forum/Website details then i'll update you guys on Facebook with it.

It will most probably be the old domain he had before http://southernlegion.co.za :)
