JOHANNESBURG - A Soweto mother said she wants justice after her one-year-old son was hit on the head by a stray bullet.

The Protea Glen mother said she believes the bullet came from a memorial service of a local African National Congress (ANC) member.
She said during the service, several mourners fired gunshots in the air and one of them landed on her son's head causing injuries.

Lerato Rathabe said her life changed dramatically since the horrific incident. Her one-year-old Oabetswe was simply playing in his grandmother's living room when a bullet came through the corrugated iron and hit him on his head.

The bullet was lodged in his head for a couple of days before being removed through a delicate surgery procedure last week.

Not as exciting, ANC are a bunch of thugs, some idiots think they're big men for firing guns off widely into the air.

They're a bunch of twats in general, it's just amplified by funerals an election time.
Wildly firing a gun into the air is the solid foundation of a freedom fighter...
Noi self respecting terrorist organisation will accept you if you cannot complete this simple task.

It's an anc funeral nothing will happen as with the eff event where the cricket fired a automatic rifle which was filmed and on tv and nothing happened.

The law only applies to the minority in the pot.

Glad the kid is okay, pity they couldn't shoot themselves in the head, not yet at least, lol.

Bullet up the air will FALL down, not be propelled. So it will hit terminal velocity straight down, what 275kph or something like that?
Doubt that will smash through a corrugated iron roofing.
But hey, might be wrong.

You people seem to think a cadre can shoot straight? There is about a 180 degree variable at play when a cadre shoots into the air.
