All communication with you can go only one way ... I'm not going to waste my energy on this.

I stick to my origional comments.. I look forward to you doing something ... When you're in court battling Sentech remember to look over your shoulder.. I'm be standing there eating my hat... but until then ...

LG its good to have you back and I agree with about 99% of your writing. Took a long time to digest tho.

I decided a while ago to reduce my participation in this forum, because actually I was getting bored with the secret societies forming and realizing that you could never get a group like this to unite, so maybe your philosophy of "conduct your own personal war" is the right way. However I still really think you need a strong group to stand up to sentech and really represent the users.

Sad to say, we did have a group of strong individuals, who I really believed could do it, but they got lost in their own percieved power.

What amazes me is that the "Confused User Group", actually have a few members who don't even have mywireless.

Again, what have I done. Actually zip. Had to say that before the rest of you did. And I agree with you.

If there is a true leader out there, you have my support. Sorry ex CUG members, you don't qualify, except for the Rodent. He has my support. He slip me a few bucks to say that:)

No doubt the CUG went into something without a real strategy or plan, and the result
is their refusal (so far) to provide any formal feedback
Rodent was their key member ... and spokesman, (It is he, who no longer uses MW too).
(Robone, So he must take equal responsibility and can't be an exception).
However..... yes, they did try to do something, no matter how misdirected.

As for LG.... he has done NOTHING but talk. With his Gun... he only fires blanks!!

As to where we go from here: Getting arf9999's article to as many
SA companies as possible is a good starting point.

We must keep the pressure on Marcel Raath.... sooner or later he may well crack! :)

Oh well......... the crusade continues!!!!!!!

One question LG......... what, when and where?????

If you get something together, then i can promise you guys will support you.

But if you carry on your large posts....... well written but getting a bit boring... and you organise ****...

Well goodluck!!!

Otherwise do RPM and the rest of us a favour and save what ever bandwidth we have on constructive ways forward or lets all sit back and watch THE CRUMBLING !!!! I think SENTECH are doing a good enough job on their own (as per DBNNET stats)

Yes MY OPINION!!!!

heh Dean, good old George had it right. THE quote that barrels around in my head re the *choke* all-powerful CUG is "All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others." As I recall that's right at the end of the book- right about when the pigs look like dead ringers for the humans they ousted. You gotta love literature...

If bandwidth is an issue dont carry on reading in this thread it is so simple. Fact is when it does come to consumer action why is it people on this baord will rather have a go at everyone and anyone on this board then face the greater problem here.

Cause its easy to sit picking at your nose writing posts attacking individuals instead of working with these individuals to perhaps make a difference. I am also responsible here.

So if you would like to sit back and watch the 'crumbling' go right ahead... erhm...
That is super CONSTRUCTIVE.

As per these fscking stats going around... did these also come from late night nose picking? Or does this prove that 68% of most stats are made up on the spot?

Guys if ya gonna flame atleast try and be eloquent about it... words like lost the plot, bigger picture make me laugh when you the ones doing nothing, helping nothing, waisting YOUR precious bandwidth coming on to this board with no real valuable oppinion.

I suggested a new plan... except we have everyone so self absorbed about getting their useless oppinions accross you have forgotten why we are... its a board about sentech.

Hey last I heard was MyAdsl want to be a consumer watchdog according to oppionins from the people on THIS very board. So why dont you all shut the fsck up if you are not gonna help or lets all just come together and work on a way to get the service that we are paying for.

or alternatively lets all just get ADSL.

Honestly I think you all are approaching the problem the wrong way.

LG Like you said... Its like a game of chess.. But theres one thing you forgot:

You are more worried about everyones moves than the aim of the game. And thats to "Check The King".
You all are submitting your opinions and others are either shooting them down or accepting them.

HELLO PEOPLE!!! Thats not what we should be doing. We all Know what the common problem is.

Problem:
1) SENTECH Number 1 Enemy
2) We want a better service.

Solution:
1) CUG Tried and failed. (Alteast they tried. Now learn from their mistakes and lets take it to another level).
This also means that we should never meet with Sentech. They are a bunch of liars and manipulators.
2) Personal Warfare like LG Recommended. (Flyers, Banners, I even propose we get a news crew out to their Head Offices and we all go picket out there).
3) I have been in contact with the News Editor of the Star Newspaper. He seems interested.. but his a busy man, so its been a bit hard to relay information to him. So that does look lucritive.
4) We should let SENTECH Know that If/When they do start advertising their Cellphone network we as users of the MyWireless will make sure they get no customers due to bad advertising, websites, etc... (If they want hardball.. They gonna get Hardball). And yes i mean that we should Threaten Them. I personally will phone in to whoever at Sentech and threaten them. F's B's and all. If i go to jail then just tough.

Anyways people stop living in the past. Sh*t happens and there is nothing we can do about it.
Move on. Learn from the mistakes.

At this moment in time I am so blerry angry with the sh*tty service SENTECH has given that I am willing to anything to dispose of their Corporate Image.

Customers have a right to complain on a public forum about bad service .. they don't have to first "earn" that right by "doing something". Complaining on a public forum is in itself a type of consumer action against poor service, and is often the only type of consumer action accessible to most customers, as most can't afford the legal fees to 'take Sentech to court' .. that doesn't mean they don't have a right to complain. What do you suggest they "do" anyway? Most don't even has the means to join the CUG, which we've heard is "closed" and "private".

I haven't heard anything about this at all, as I'm sure 99% of other forum readers haven't either ... don't tell people to "shut the fsck up" over information that they don't even have (!?!?). Anyway, tell me more ... is this tied in with the CUG? Is it the CUG together with MyADLS^H^HSL intending to become a consumer watchdog? If that's the case then sure, how can I help? (We can't help though if nobody even knows about it ... in fact if you don't tell anyone, that sends the message that perhaps you don't want any help.)

Ditch... well put!
With everyone getting fustrated with Sentech, we need this forum to vent our views, more than ever.
However, MW users need to realise that Sentech does not care.. and that by cancelling
or refusing to pay... they hold the ultimate weapon! (I have not paid a cent since the end of May)
When their customer base drops to below 1000, I think that the war may well be won.

"The LGM is back. Weee... Now I have something to read in my coffee breaks again."

I should forewarn you that it does get a bit repetitive in places. LGM has a habit of repeating himself. He manages to say the same thing in about 25 different ways. It's clear to me that repetition of this nature doesn't get a clear point across. Now I'm starting to do it ... [:D]

LG, I have spent much time reading your posts under this topic.

I have to totally agree with you - Who was it that said "divide and rule" ?

CUG's remind me of "Road closure committee's" (normally self elected, but claiming to represent the neighbourhood). Some normally insignificant soul experiences for the first time the "power" of being in control and fall for the "vested interest / security companies" viewpoint totally ignoring their original "self proclaimed" interest in the neighborhood welfare.

My solution to the Sentech problem is to simply demonstrate to everyone I meet the modem performance by doing both local and international file downloads. If all of us did this, Sentech will soon have a huge problem (marketing costs are much larger that bandwidth costs and will therefore have a greater impact on management bonuses!).

I have had two demo's (what I call "show and tell") this morning and both are totally in Sentech's favour!

12.4KB/s solidly local and internationally (for the first time in months).

I connect to Hurleyvale tower 50, which is connected to Linksfield tower 110.
