Hi everyone, has anyone tried this new coupon program?

Helped my dad activate the card by dialing the long number...but now what?

How does one use it?

Anyone care to help and/or share experiences?

You can go to the till and either swipe the barcode on the card or get the cashier to punch in your cell number. Discounts will show at the bottom of the till slip.

You can got to me.spar.co.za or download the 'spar sa' app on android and iphone to get more details.

There is a way of using sms's to query the rewards as well. I would use the app or me.spar.co.za.
You can also load the card in the app and scan with your phone.

New rewards come out every two weeks. At the moment it national at most SPAR stores. There is about 10 different items currently. Im sure the list will grow as the program grows.

Such a ridiculous system - why not have a card like everywhere else? Overly complicated. BTW, for best bang for your buck - exchange your Pick 'n Pay smart shopper points for vouchers - there is a machine in store. I get Spur vouchers or movie tickets.

Edit: I have no idea why the website turned it upside down, as it's showing right way up on my phone. But you get the gist.

No it's not that card. It's a terrible little card that's supposed to function as a key holder but it's incredibly uncomfortable. Not to mention sharp.

Spar uses regular credit card sized cards.

Well at least that is what we have.

The loyalty cards are different to the myrewards afaik. The loyalty cards are usually tied to a specific store.

I have one of those loyalty credit card sized thingies. Hardly ever use it, as I moved away from that Spar, they still do give me a free milktart on my birthday.
