so Ive been searching, and all I get is lemons,

looking for this type (top) of DDR4 memory, dont care about the brand, (1R16 2400T 240 PIN)
4GB or 8GB or whatever I can find, but not getting anywhere,

been to Matrix H/O, didnt even check for me, off the top of her head, we dont stock this,
few others, including Takealot, mislabel it to the WRONG type,

usual supplier said GTFO,

where else should I try?

TOP module (or equivalent) is what I'm after.

Lookup the motherboard manufacturers ram compatibility list.. it will give you make and model numbers for supported memory which will make your search significantly easier..

That's a standard 260pin DDR4 SDRAM SODIMM, nothing fancy.

HYNIX 4GB (1X 4GB) CL17 DDR4-2400 PC4-19200 1.2V 260-PIN SODIMM RAM MODULE
HMA851S6AFR6N-UH NO AC

HMA851S6AFR6N < PRODUCTS < SK Hynix

What's the full make & model of the device you need the ram for?

I really can't see a difference in the pinout between those 2 RAM modules.

They may not play nicely with one another if paired up in dual channel mode, but other than that I can't see a material difference.

EDIT: They definitely won't work in dual channel. One is 4GB and the other is 8. My bad. :giggle:
