Speeding in my car, but I was not the driver

Wouldn't this be an easy way to get away with this stuff?

Do some speeding and then when the fines rock up fill in the form and nominate your friend who recently moved to Australia as the driver?

Or better yet your friend FROM Australia who was here on holiday. Surely it just hits a dead end then?

Was thinking of this not too long ago.

Someone owes me money, I just forward all my fines to him :D

I think if they cannot get hold of him they will still hold the owner responsible.

Certainly the case a few years back, I purchased an imported Camaro thru a 2nd hand dealer and got stuck with the speeding fines it collected whilst being prepared for RWC before I took delivery because I was the sole registered SA owner :(
