Agreed. However, the human condition is a strange one. If a car manufacturer instituted a zero-give seatbelt system, I'm pretty sure the sales would not be that good.

Actually physics 101 - two cars hitting each other at 96km/h isn't doubled, the amount of force is still the same if the car was doing 96km/h and hitting a wall vs hitting the car.

Speeding is a hazard in SA that will increase your risk because of exposure factors that are better controlled in Germany. Here in SA, you are exposed to more factors like unroadworthy vehicles, other reckless motorists, poor conditions of our roads, stray animals etc. If there was discipline on SA roads in controlling those factors, speeding would not necessarily increase the Risk.

If people want to experience driving adrenalin in a better controlled environment, go to a race track or closed drag racing strip.
