Hey guys.

So after I got a little email last week informing me that the dstv price is going up again, I am seriously considering just cutting it. I never watch television. I have netflix and streaming for my entertainment.

The problem comes in with sport. I love sport. I will watch anything, but the big ones are rugby, cricket and f1. There is no smaller dstb package that caters for sports. (I find this ****ing ridiculous).

I know supersport has a streaming service but a.) I have not heard great things with this and afrihost and b.) Dont you still need a dstv subscription to watch that?

So what os a guy to do? Is dstv the only way to get your sports?

Yes you do, afaik your online profile has to have a premium subscription smart card number linked to it in order to watch live streaming. Highlights and stuff are free though, no need to have an account.

I have tested NTV. It works quite well. The Sky sports channels cover most of what we want to watch, rugby, cricket, F1 etc.

The one thing i found is that the framerates seem a tad low. If Supersport runs at 25fps, the Sky ones run at 20fps. Crystal clear yes, but noticeably less frames per second.

Guys, any sites out there that you know of that rebroadcast sports events? I won't be able to watch the F1 race this Sunday but am keen to watch a rebroadcast (if for no other reason that the F1 circus has returned to the A1 Ring in Austria).

Thanks
