The game started off full of promise , after the props went of, the game went south.... Shoot me if u want, but I don't think Jacque Fourie should be there..... Anymore...

Absolute borefest, pretty clear that HM is lacking when it comes to game plans. Man of the Match for me was Habana for at least trying, no clue why Mr Boring got it, he's slow as all mukk.

Nevermind the ref and field, that Bok team was shocking, end of

I'm pretty shocked at how upbeat Mallett is regarding the performance of the Boks...

I think you misunderstood him perhaps. It seemed to me that he was surprised that the commentators/interviewers thought that it was a close game. He said we were clearly the better team, but I don't think that he implicated that it was a good performance.

Meh, disappointing game. Wales did nothing with their possession. Lost their star players early on. Confusing ref. Lambie didn't really impress. Fake try. Bleh.

Wasn't a good performance but we sure did beat wales bad performance easily with 3 tries even with low possession so we didn't do too bad when we had the ball apart from all the penalties given :D.

Still don't get why our guy got penalised in the scrum with a yellow card when it was obvious it was the wales guy making the scrum drop everytime since he was the common denominator.

NZ vs. France, what a cracker and the game of rugby and not the ref is centrestage. A nice palate cleanser to remove the taste of faeces after the last game.

Yeah, quite enjoyed that game, too. The French can be bloody tenacious!

Our refs are clearly in a league of their own.

We really need to work on our restarts.

+100. Our restarts are not great at the moment. I think we are focusing too much spreading to cover 110% of the field without having to move.

So many missed tackles already, just not good enough

This also shone through, I still think our cover defence was showcased while we missed a lot of first time tackles.

Isn't the new scrum supposed to get rid of these penalties?

Well the pitch was horrible and that should take some of the blame.

FdP playing like a frikkin donkey ...... terrible

Really? Ok. MoM usually plays like a donkey.

Seriously, please explain what you mean with "play like a donkey".

Jacque Fourie and JP Pietersen are not fit.

I also got the idea that they were off the pace a bit. their class did however show in the end but I agree, they should have started from the bench.

Go Pieter-Steph!

Solid enough start to his test career. I hope they rest Eben and play PSdT with either flip or Bakkies..... PSdT should also be wearing the no 5 jersey.

Scrappy game. Stopped watching. The scrum was messed up. How did that no 3 get in the team?

Because he is very young and one of the only tight head props in SA. Also the fact that Mallet rates him highly is enough for now.

The game started off full of promise , after the props went of, the game went south.... Shoot me if u want, but I don't think Jacque Fourie should be there..... Anymore...

I think he should have been played from the bench, he showed that he still has the class, I just think the physicality and tempo was a big surprise to him.

This ^^^

We were not great by any measure but it just showed the different levels SA and Wales operate on at the moment (RWC years have a tendency to make everything equal).

The two things that impressed me were:

1) Our cover defense was great, our first time tackles were extremely poor especially in the first half, but our cover defense saved us a couple of times.

2) We actually grabbed the opportunities when they presented themselves to score tries.

Against Scotland I hope PSdT gets a start as well as giving Lambie a start with Goosen off the bench.

Malherbe should get another run as the pitch was terrible and he held up to the challenge at least with a passing grade of a D- :p

I would also like to see JdV rested (even if they move him to the bench). I also think Eben needs a rest. Perhaps give flow a bench seat and start Kolisi.

Keep Willie on fullback, he really looked like he spent some time working on his kicking game and even on the heavier field he still looked dangerous on the attack.

I think that Pat and Willie are just better than Sideshow Bob when it comes to cover defence. I saw some textbook tackles by Lambie when he was at fullback. He saved a try with a perfect tackle that all highschool coaches should use to demonstrate tackles.

If we had more flyhalves I would prefer Lambie on fullback, that is the position that, imo, he was born to play.

Willie can sometimes try to hard but I also still prefer him over Zane. On a rainy day, Zane or Lambie would be my choices (Lambie the first).

Whats your guys take on Skalla?, when he is fit and playing to his potential, should he be selected ahead of Alberts?

Personally i would, he brings a lot of energy and he is always all over the field, not sure if he fits in HM's game plan though. He and Alberts are 2 entirely different players.
