I don't have any issues except for Earl Rose!! What the F is he doing there?!?! He couldn't even properly make the bench of the Lions but he is included in the Boks side.

For the rest... looks good! I think Lionel Maphoe can feel unlucky, but maybe next year!

Bandise Maku + Chilliboy + Davon Raubenheimer + Meyer Bosman + Juan de Jongh + Earl Rose ( *spit* ) ........ they all don't deserve to be there in my view. I really feel for Mapoe losing his place to these moegoes.

Overseas players not considered, Steyn and De Villiers excluded. Lionel has signed a 7's contract so is not eligible for Bok selection.

Johan Vermaak can consider himself very unlucky as can Adrian Strauss and Pietersen (WP)

Heini, Rose and Chillyboy, IMO, are there for one reason and one reason only and it isn't there rugby talent...

Earl Rose???? There one or two other lucky selections, but Earl Rose? If he is our future then I fear it is not a bright one.

I'm a Lions fan, I love my team and I have to support Earl Rose. But to be honest, how does he manage to make the Springbok squad?

Well we all know there is ONLY one reason snorre keeps on picking him. It's actually so pathetic that its funny.:erm:

So many useless selections keeping out real talent from breaking through :/

J Du Plessis
Gurthro Steenkamp
Earl Rose
Meyer Bosman
Zane Kirchner
Chilli boy
Odwa

These guys have all either had their chances and been very unimpressive or are clearly not the best in their positions.

Other than that I think P Div has done a good job, lots of youngsters are getting a look at and he is planning for beyond 2011 which is very wise.

I'm worried about our front 5 though, as there aren't any truly standout backups in the squad. The bench was a weakpoint earlier this year and it doesn't look any better for the EOYT.

Davon cost steggman a place in the sq imo. That is a shame as he clearly showed he is one of the few flankers in SA (and the world for that matter) that can compete with brussouw.

As for Juan de Jongh, he surely did deserve his place. Please can you give me ome alternatives for his selection?

Also maku I feel should have been selected if PdV had to select another black player not along with Chilliboy but instead of him.

Heini came in for Januarie. I also feel there are better scrummies but he IS 1000 times better than januarie. Live with it.

Can you please suggest another 3 players for those positions? I am very interested to hear your opinion.

All and all I am not complaining as PdV is one of the few Bok choaches to have actually gone and have a look at the players from smaller unions as well as bring back the week games against the clubs in Europe to give some youngsters and second choices a good run.

As good as he is I would also not pick him now. We need to train a new full back for the next WC (2011) as Frans steyn as far as I know will be gone for 3 years (Racing metro if im not mistaken). So the possibility of Frans not being here for the next WC is very very real.

I would have Wicus Blaauw or Wian du Preez in for Gurthro and WP Nel for Jannie any day. Gurthro and Jannie have had their chances and have not impressed, our young props on the other hand have been in great form and look very good for the future.

I would pick Joe Pietersen instead of Zane, though I can see why P Div went with him, as he was the FB in the emerging boks and he is generally solid if not average. Also, I think if Joe were to be picked it would have to be in place of Riaan Viljoen as they are both relatively new players so maybe Zane 'deserves' to be there.

Yeah, like I said it is a pity the lad isn't getting a look in. Suddenly we lack depth in this position and perhaps should be looking at someone like Joe Peterson?

what is the story behind Francois Steyn now? .. imho Kirchner isn't a bad full back.

Another great selection by a great coach. Adams and Kirchner deserve to be there. They will impress, given time. Fantastic profile of players and honestly the best that he could have done, spare the omission of stegmann...
