Heini playing like an ass of a number 9 ...... De Jongh needs to learn to pass ...... and Olivier is not a horses ass, never mind a midfielder

The rest of the team, not too bad a showing at all ...... :)

Hmmm maybe we were better off with Heini Adams... not the best start by Francois Hougaard...

Ok, I must be watching a different game. I did not think Heini was bad. De Jongh has been great. And Olivier has not done anything wrong.

De Jongh just holds on too long
Olivier has turned over all ball he's had
Heini, while not bad, is nowhere near the likes of Kockott or Vermaak.

OK Francios Hougaard is having the crapest game ever! Anyone would be better scrum half than him at the moment... three bugger ups by him and two tries as a result!

Having a NH ref clearly didn't help our cause either eh ....... and you're right, F. Hougaard is worse than an amateur! Ditto for Maku.

Good from the game? - I think Hargreaves and Heinke deserve a chance on the bench in the starting team.

Adams, de Jongh and Olivier have been some of our best players. You sure you're watching the right game? Oh right, there aren't enough of your beloved Sharkies playing.

F Hougaard pathetic. Even Rose was 10 times better than him.

Him coming on lost us the game imo. Aside from his terrible kick that was charged down and the poor defense that lead to their 2nd try, his service was extremely slow compared to Adams. And most of the time he just went for terrible hoof kicks. I never saw the fuss about him at the bulls and I'm still failing to see it now.
Bekker played well before Rossouw replaced him and was nonexistant.
Hargreaves I must admit I was sceptical about his selection beforehand but he played well tonight.
Rose showed some good touches although he could still do better positionally and his kicking isn't good enough. He did add some flair and it's probably safer to play him at fullback. Can't believe I'm going to say this but it wouldn't be undeserving if he got into the bok team. Of course I still fully expect him to mess up if he does get selected.
Said before that I'm not a big Deysel fan but he was impressive today.

I agree with everything you say - except I did see some excellent defence on occasion from F Hougaard for the Bulls this season - but at WING.

I have to agree F hougaard had a shocker. Personally I would rather play him at wing or at center.

De Jongh just holds on too long
Olivier has turned over all ball he's had
Heini, while not bad, is nowhere near the likes of Kockott or Vermaak.

Problem is Kockott = hothead and I have not seen Kockott nor vermaak with a springbok "a" side. So I will reserve judgement.

Talking about people who did not play well. Ruan Pienaar while nowhere near his worst game again did not impress me. A couple of times he did however show moments of his old self and attacked pretty well.

Earl "The Pearl" Rose.

Some very nice passes and did very well on defense. He even got into the rucks at times. He impressed me in this game.

Our front-row was slightly better but still horrible at times. We need a decent forward coach.
Nokwe looking dangerous at times. Would still like to see him try the side step instead of kick and chase or slowing down and waiting for support. I think he can do it at full-speed.

The NH's interpretation of the ruck is clearly not the same as ours. It was a free for all with players on the ground playing the ball, players not supporting their own body weight allowed to play the ball and win penalties for holding on, players diving over the the ball and coming in from the sides.

How lucky was that guy at half-time?

Winning 250'000 pounds.
Had to kick the ball from 30m and let it bounce on the crossbar.

It saddens me that I have to admit that he was one of the best players on the field

If only he weighed 10-15 kgs more and could kick :p

When astro boy takes off his head gear, he transforms into....

As much has i love to hate him, lets hope Muir can get him playing some decent rugby at the lion for a change, they need all the help they can get. It was odd seeing him play so well.

He'll always be to small for international rugby though.

The team for Italy:
15-Zane Kirchner
14-JP Pietersen
13-Jaque Fourie
12-Adrian Jacobs
11-Bryan Habana
10-Morne Steyn
9-Fourie du Preez
8-Ryan Kankowski
7-Danie Rossouw
6-Heinrich Brussow
5-Andries Bekker
4-Bakkies Botha
3-John Smit (captain)
2-Adriaan Strauss
1-Wian du Preez

16-Tendai Mtawarira
17-BJ Botha
18-Victor Matfield
19-Jean Deysel
20-Francois Hougaard
21-Ruan Pienaar
22-Wynand Olivier.

So Bismarck, Matfield and the Beast are rested. No hooker on the bench. Does that mean Smit might move there again?
I have to say I'm a bit worried. Italy have some good props and they put up a great fight against NZ. We have an untested front row, a new lock combination, a centre pairing that hasn't fired and (imo) not a very good loose forward trio. I'd rather we sent out our best team and got this tour back on track. I can't believe I'm worried about Italy now, but our performances haven't been convincing and they'll be fired up. We're the world champs and they know we're vulnerable.

The head of the reffing body offered NZ an apology for the Aussies refs shltty performance in saturdays gave NZ vs Italy. He says the ref was not right on half of the calls he made against NZ in the scrums.
