As I predicted - Nigel Owens = Irish win.

And I'm not one to always blame the ref...

Um, you do realise that Ireland are the reigning six nations champions?

There would be something dramatically wrong with rugby if a confrontation of such a calibre did not illicit some debate and discussion from the fans.

Yes and we are ex world Champions, And debating and discussing about loosing the came before kick off shows that there is something wrong.
Yes Ireland was deservedly winners .

No, it demonstrates sport. If we were playing Uruguay then yes perhaps we should be concerned that we are debating the result but ireland completed the grand slam this year. They are not Uruguay.

No, they weren't. We were refereed out of the game. Every indiscretion of ours was picked up yet they got away with most things.

Farcical refereeing. I guess the EFT is going through right about now. This tour will be remembered for the refereeing.

No they were not (the ref made sure there was no fair contest) and we are still world champions and we will remain that until the next world cup.

...and let's just add they were outscored them one try to nil.

This was the big problem :

Penalty goals Ireland 5 from 6 South Africa 0 from 4

Hmmmm how interesting is this conversation by the "experts", Naas and John, re Ruan coming on for Morne! ;)

Now... we have been told to not let this become a versus thread but they just confirmed what some of us have been saying all along. Morne is the kicker. Ruan is the man to make the breaks.

Who won the game against France ? Or was that the singing bit?

Years ago I would have placed money on the game that we would have won the game handsomely. Today we sort of made excuses before the first kick off?? Brian O Driscoll did go through us twice as well.

Naas and panel also said that we did not play well. Playing like world champions?? We lost line outs and tactical kicking?

The panel decided that ref had a good game?

We are the champions of the world (as Sung by Queen)

Sorry but while the refereeing was rubbish (although do remember that Owens didn't spot the blatant high-tackle by Pieterson, which would've resulted in a penalty and yellow card), I think the Boks were too predictable. They made a few game-breaks, but generally we were tied down by the strong Irish defence. And we seemed to be kicking away possession a lot.

Yes until the next world cup. Let us hope that we put on a far better and impresive show then. How about ARG beating Scotland 9-6 ?

Yes we could have finished with only 14 players on the field. So a bit of luck on our side there.

Imho you only replace a player if he can make an impact.... Ruan player isn't exactly my impact fly-half :)
