I predict Ngidi will be running in with KG in the tests.
Looks like a very promising prospect.

Feel so little pain conceding one to the Islanders. Can't even say ouch.

Well mate you need a heart first for that.... :D

On topic, was a meh game, lacked the action and suspense of the first one

Down to the pitch you think? The average score in a day T20 at The Wanderers is 185. This pitch was slower and lower than the usual Wanderers highway. I think it was a good toss to lose for SL and they bowled superbly. They did make heavy weather of the chase but that was in part down to shot selection.

I must also say that it was a pleasant reversal seeing the bowlers flourish for a change. Most decks these days are tailor-made for batsmen, with bowlers being on a hiding to nothing before they've even set foot on the field. A match can still be thrilling entertainment despite there not being ludicrous amount of runs scored and this was one of those.

Who was the opposition? Blindeskool B team?
Easterns. Chasing 199 he came in early at nr3 and chased the target in 30 overs. Next best score for his side was 30. Just nice to see he has a bit of form (either that or the standard of play is really really crap)

That's the type of team I was referring to. It's not even franchise level. Not saying it's not a good score, but he should be evaluated on proper opposition.

Of course, not great opposition but a good score nonetheless. Morne was supposed to play as well but didn't.

Not really a pitch issue, we simply got hammered with slow balls and spin, we don't have too many slow pitchs in SA that forces spin from both sides. It was more an issue of poor shot selection, twice in a row, high risk shots, in particular reverse sweep being played that got two middle order bats men out in the same over.

Which means if this game was played any where outside of South Africa the result was going to be the same regardless.Fair enough the pitch was like a rabid dog, and misbehaved, the mendis wicket was a sight to be hold.

This T20 team, reminds of the SA team of old, attempting brute force attack, to try and get them over the line.

Mathews, Pradeep, Gunathilaka to return to Sri Lanka

Angelo Mathews will be one of three players returning to Sri Lanka after the second T20 international in South Africa, with Nuwan Pradeep and Danushka Gunathilaka also flying home due to injury.

Mathews' return was a prior arrangement based on "personal grounds", a Sri Lanka Cricket release said, though he had also suffered a leg injury during his match-winning 54 not out on Sunday. Pradeep, meanwhile, injured his hand in the opening T20, and Gunathilaka has been laid low by a back complaint. It is unclear how long Mathews will be unavailable, but Pradeep and Gunathilaka are ruled out of the tour. Vice captain Dinesh Chandimal will lead the side in Mathews' stead.

The triple blow is a significant for Sri Lanka's chances in the limited-overs series' - all three players have featured in Sri Lanka's ODI sides, and Mathews especially, provides balance to the XI in his all-round role.

The three-wicket win on Sunday was Sri Lanka's first victory of the tour. The third T20 international is scheduled for January 25, and five ODIs are to follow.

The injuries to Gunathilaka and Pradeep may also affect availability for the forthcoming T20 tour of Australia. Sri Lanka are expected to name their ODI squad for the South Africa series on Tuesday or Wednesday.

I would slot in Parnell in place of Phehlukwayo.

He's a better batsman and can do worse as a bowler.

^, phone call or SMS.

:p

I'd keep Andile - he showed promise against the Aussies.
