Could be said for any mode of transport - even walking. It's safe until it isn't.

Nothing in life is a guarantee - only death itself.
Sure. I just don't like the idea of experiencing falling, not worried about death itself.

Agreed, I think knowing you're going down in a plane crash must be one of the most terrifying experiences.

Yeah, imagine sitting in that tube and something goes wrong... everything happening at 400-800km/h. The pressures on your body will be terrifying. Nothing you can do but sit a few mintues, hold on to your seat and wait for it all to be over.

Some of those who believe in soul think you're "pulled out" early in a case like that. Who knows, but don't really want to find out.

Maybe they should make offering cyanide capsules when boarding mandatory :D

Don't you pass out at some point?

Different circumstances I suppose? Fear and all of that...

I don't know
I've heard people say, that if you do suicide by jumping of a sky scarper. You'll be dead before you hit the ground. That also doesn't make sense, but could be factored in as fear and all.

I'm terrified of sky diving. Actually went to do it with a friend, chickened out, didn't even get on the plane.
But jet flying is much higher.

I've seen videos of people passing out on rollercoasters (above 4g loops I think?).
