I know most munis handle things slightly differently with CoCT likely being the most detailed with requirements, but how many have been through the SSEG registration process and which supply authority are you connected to (Eskom, CoCT, George Muni, BCMM, CoJ, etc.)? What has it cost you?
I'm nearly done with Eskom Direct registration which involved:
Electrical engineer and update of CoC + supplimentary CoC + application completion / submission - R11k
Structural engineer (inspection and drawings of roofing structure to hold panels) - R7k (no roof defects needed to be addressed)
DGSL Kiosk - R6k
Still waiting for Eskom's quote which costs around R2-R3k (the cost of the quote, not the cost of any work they need to do). I'm not expecting anything - or very little at least, from Eskom's side. I'm being migrated to the Homeflex 4 tariff for generation and feedback. Fortunately I already have a smart meter which Eskom installed around 6 months ago - probably to make sure I wasn't scoring by reversing their meter.
