I haven't experienced loadshedding since 2018, I seem to be in a really small area that goes unaffected.

I only realise this when I have to go to a shop and hear generators as I walk along.

Was considering the same kind of setup, so much cheaper, but decided "screw it" since I don't have proper space for it etc. and I like the relatively clean look of the wall-mounted units, I'm also assuming that battery pack should last for ages if you're just using it during load-shedding so I'll hopefully make some of the money back when I sell the place one day.

I also live in an apartment and mounted my inverter behind my fridge. My fridge is in a nook and there was enough space behind it. Can't even tell anything is there. I still went for lead acid tho. There were some cupboards really high up (too high for step ladder), so just put the batteries in there. Been like that for 3 years now
