Power cuts suspended

Eskom has announced that it suspended the stage 2 power cuts announced on Thursday five hours early, pausing load-shedding at midnight.

The state-owned power utility said this was thanks to the recovery of approximately 2,015MW of generation capacity, an expected decline in electricity demand, and sufficient emergency reserves.

I think many who don't have just become quiet these days, it's getting embarrassing.

Even gave my brother a good kukout session over the long weekend when he started moaning about how he doesn't have the money, showed him the numbers and how his perfectly placed giant roof with zero obstructions would kill any solar system loan in no time when all the Eskom money he'll be saving is pushed into it.. some people just don't get it.

Imho, it depends on how much one is spending on leccy bills per month. R3k per month could easily be spent on a loan instead not so?
