Eskom load-shedding update — Stage 4 on Friday and lower stages over the weekend

Eskom has announced that will continue with Stage 4 load-shedding from 05:00 to midnight on Friday, 8 July 2022, and thereafter the power utility will begin to reduce the level of power cuts.

It said that a combination of factors — including the return to service of seven generation units and the Cahora Bassa line from Mozambique — made it possible for the power utility to reduce load-shedding.

It is a disgrace that we have to pay excessive amounts towards electricity and then another shitload to replace failing batteries, chargers etc.

Thought I might get some relief the next few days with the varying stages but nope, my schedule is arranged in such a way that it still hits a slot every 6 hours. So basically stage 4 for me all the way till Sunday.

They say this now, this afternoon they will announce stage 6 for the entire weekend. Stage 6 is only practice for stage 8
