Eskom increases load-shedding until further notice

Eskom has announced stage 4 load-shedding until further notice.

This is due to the breakdowns of a generating unit each at Koeberg, Medupi, Kriel, Arnot and Lethabo power stations.

It's tempting to go the conspiracy theory route - something to do with the state of disaster. But then 5 or 6 Eskom generating units breakdown at a regular frequency, it's probably just that time of the week for the scheduled batch of breakdowns.
