Realistically speaking it is probably going to be powerships if we want to keep the light on while we build some new nuclear power stations. The fleet is aging so reliability decreases every year while demand will only increase every year, no quick alternatives excepts getting ripped off from powerships. The question is how do we find the money to fund all these things...

Yup, understandably, sadly wrong people are punished.

Edit 1:
Eskom wants a million bucks for their substation to be repaired before they switch back on

Edit 2:
Sadly it cost me, being up to date with the muni, and on prepaid electricity a Cool 20l (R478) every 13 to 14 hours to keep the 8kva gennie running

No protection / fuses against overload by neither Muni nor Eskom is what I get from all of this

Power tripped a few times in Durbanville and then stayed off after load shedding.
Who broke what?

Suspect Eskom more fked than us after this level 6 bout.

Loads of people that was on the edge re Solar, and they just been pushed over.
Problem is the ones that is pushed over where the ones normally paying.
