I've got a Sole Prop Account with them that I opened for my brother's fund raising - another kettle of fish.

Anyway, the PIN for the cheque card needed resetting. (Thanks Bro) Did that at Tokai branch on Wednesday.

The card was used the following day with no hassles.

I sold one of my guitars and the buyer wanted to EFT from Standard, I'm with Capitec. Wasn't going to let my axe go and wait 48 hours on the funds to clear. So we went with the Standard Bank account. All good.

Next day I go to ATM, enter PIN, check balances, select an amount to withdraw. And then the machine cancels the transaction, pushing out an error message that I've entered the PIN number incorrectly too many times. :wtf:

Tried again at another ATM, same BS. Note that I'm entering the correct PIN.

Come into Canal Walk branch. Get told the chip part of it needs to be reset. No explanation can be given for why I can view balances and then it gives an error. But this is after having stood 15 minutes in the enquiries queue. Then I'm told it'll take another 24 hours for it to take. So I have to draw from inside the bank. Meaning I've got to stand in the teller's queue for another 15-20 minutes!

At least with shiity ABSA they'd get someone from the front of house to walk you directly to a teller.

Because of their technology's stuff up, I've gotta waste my time in here.

Am I delusional in my madness directed towards them? Screw these Big4 banks. I'm not touching this card or account again.

I can tell you that there is current problems with Standard Bank chip cards, we are having similar issues with clients it is because these chip cards have not been placed on whats called a BIN table, thus they are having major issues. However the issue should be resolved around the 15th of April.

Fark this - I'm using that douche Peter's site just to add another blotch to their name.
54 minutes spent inside there.
I hate traffic and queues.

If what you're saying is legit sephamore (which I don't doubt it is) why are their staff not disseminating this information with clients?
All I got was a blank stare and that the chip needed to be reset.
I thought this was done on Wednesday already!

Ludicrous, horrendous and other negatory and inflammatory words ending with "ous" :wtf:

They've had a few months already to get it sorted, don't worry, your experience mirrors mine. It's just African Incompetence at its best. They should have just left the ATM cards without the chips but noooooo they have to go and break something that worked.

The chip card issued to me by Capitec has not given me any grief.
Just once that it was declined at a filling station - tried another machine and sorted.

Fsck HelloPeter - I'm not registering for that kark.
Will get onto SB's Facebook page later.

I have multiple business accounts with them. One is a surety for R150k required by my major supplier. It is valid for 5 years at a time. It came up for renewal in November last year.
They have been stuffing me around for 4 months trying to renew this thing asking for a whole lot of irrelevant stuff. Every time I re-iterate that its a RENEWAL, nothing has changed. Then they want a certificate of liquidity?
WTF? they have the R150k, all they have to do is secure it in favour of the supplier, nothing more.

I had enough on wednesday and I sent an email saying I'm moving my business elsewhere. I sent it to every email I have in regards to them. As of right now I have had zero response from them.

Fsk em. They are fsking useless.
