Standard Bank Card wont work with Google

You need to call them and ask them to enable online services or something, god knows why its off by default.
 
I am assuming you want to add it to Google Wallet to tap with your phone? If so, make sure your tap to pay is switched on for your card. Not sure if the same with Standard Bank, but on Capitec you can turn it on and off on the app.
 
Just trying to pay for drive storage, Apple life my guy.
But on that note never had an issue adding cards to my Apple Pay on either phone or watch.

As mentioned most likely fraud block but why aren’t you using Shyft? You won’t get charged those pesky 2% international fees.
 
Only 3 hours later, got an SMS please confirm not fraud, then re try, working now.
Having the same issue, bear in mind I had the same card on the wifes phone as a payment method as it was paying the Disney+ subscription, only to be alerted today payment failed and fails on retry(declining). So tried to add on my device and getting the error you had in the OP.

I have tried calling std bank but apparently no issues their side. @DStvNothingOn, may I ask how exactly you came right in the end? Was it being blocked as seen as fraud?
 
I went through normal support and they had nothing, but told me to call card division, once I got through to card division they were able to see the payment attempts and unblock them. 0860 123 000

Thanks. No luck with that and they say nothing on std bank side. Will try my luck with google support and see where that takes me but rather frustrating to say the least
 
So came right in the end with googleplay support. They didn't give much detail just said that, "The error message that you were getting is now rectified and now you can add your payment method to the Google account."

Added my card after that with no issues
 
That's interesting, it's normally not on the merchant side but glade it sorted.
