Could be a card print error you should replace your card cause these cards are printed elsewhere and then the info is encoded into the magstrip so it could be an error where information is not copied properly...........common error or damaged magstrip

Mine sometimes gets declined if I fill my tank up from empty. The guys tell me this is because it has a R500 limit on it or something. Maybe worth investigating if you are filling up with large amounts.

8 years no problems. The minimal fee for using it is worth it to not go looking for a bank teller and have to pay more than the fee just to withdraw the money.

I don't know why I bother with a garage card anymore as certain stations I use more than others due to proxmity to home and work like BP in my case now accept debit cards. By the way has anyone had much luck with paying for petol on credit cards yet? The law was changed if I am not mistaken?

i'd rather pay later i.e. end of month than during the month. so the garage card is financially the better option. but i could be wrong.

Never had any issues with mine, I have it linked to my CC. In retrospect I really wish I had a seperate account for it, would make monitoring my fuel expenditure a little bit easier.

Might I be so rude as to suggest that you use a log book for fuel monitoring?

I have always had one in every car since my first one, and it's the only way to accurately keep an eye on expenditure, as well as any fluctuations in fuel consumption.
