When looking at their tiering structure, you will really struggle to get to the tier4 (unless you sell your soul to SBSA). This programme will fail in the same fashion as BlueBean and others they tried before based on a greedy tiering model. If you have no incentive for customers (other than upselling products), your model will just fail SBSA.

Things are very confusing like Hold an Investment and/or Savings Account and maintain an average monthly balance across all qualifying products - So how the hell am i suposed to know what that qualifying average balance is?

According to the calculator Im on Tier 2 and need 1 freaking point to get to tier 3 :wtf:

So going to make a cash deposit at an ATM to get me 25 points to push me to tier 3 :D

Standard Bank can suck my...

Im over them. Worst bank Ive ever banked with :( Seriously, 24 hours to transfer from your cheque to your credit card. Laaaame.

Today I tried to load R150 airtime through my online banking onto an 8ta number. I accidently chose Telkom. Phoned Standard bank right away to get a refund they basically say, FU, no refunds.

Closing all my account (have 3 with them) at the end of the year. Cant wait.

Pretty sure all banks are like this. Hence the warnings about making sure that you enter the correct account details because they take no responsibility for you screwing up. And to be honest, it really isn't their problem, plus they can't just take the money out of the other account without permission. The issue is between you and the person you paid by mistake.

how do i go about doing this? ucount sux.

Eish I was joined automatically either by MTN or Avis cant even remember it was that long ago.

Try joining from the website, all i see is they ask for an ID
https://www.ebucks.com/web/eBucks/registration/welcomePage.jsp

couldn't see anything on the T&c's about non FNB customers joining
but i was right it is free:

eBUCKS IS FOR FREE

eBucks is for free in that We will not charge You:

to earn eBucks*;
a joining fee; or
any periodic or annual membership fees.
* Two of the Partners, FNB and RMB Private Bank, may charge You an annual credit card Linkage Fee.

In addition to operating the eBucks Rewards Programme We also render additional services to Our Members. We may therefore also charge You transaction, service and delivery fees in eBucks or in Rand on certain transactions on Your eBucks Account, as explained elsewhere in these Terms and Conditions and on the Website.

An itemised breakdown of all Our fees is included in the fees and charges section elsewhere in these Terms and Conditions. This includes a Dormancy Administration Penalty from Your eBucks Account should You fail to earn or spend eBucks on Your relevant eBucks Account for a period of 6 (six) months, which amount is utilised to cover the costs of maintaining Your eBucks Accounts on Our system. The Dormancy Administration Penalty is explained elsewhere in these Terms and Conditions.

yep anyone can join only Ebucks for business got stories:

ELIGIBILITY FOR THE eBUCKS REWARDS PROGRAMME

Any individual may join the eBucks Rewards Programme.

Any Business holding an Active Qualifying FNB Business Account could before 1 September 2012, have joined the eBucks Rewards Programme. For the new eligibility criteria for Businesses, applicable from 1 September 2012, see eBUCKS FOR BUSINESS.

As from 1 September 2012, existing Business Members of the eBucks Rewards Programme who do not meet the new qualification criteria for the eBucks for Business Programme will no longer earn eBucks or any other rewards from the eBucks Reward Programme, unless otherwise notified in accordance with the Terms and Conditions. Existing Business Members who no longer qualify will be granted until 28 February 2013 to spend any eBucks accumulated prior to 1 September 2012 within the available eBucks Rewards Programme spend channels. As from 1 March 2013 existing Business Members who no longer qualify will not be able to access the eBucks Rewards Programme and will not be able to spend their unspent eBucks.

It is Your responsibility to confirm with a FNB business relationship manager or an FNB branch or with any of Our Partners, on which FNB products or Partners' products respectively You are able to earn eBucks.

Businesses must nominate a Primary Member to manage the relationship between the eBucks Rewards Programme and the Business and the Primary Member must nominate a Transactor to transact on the Business eBucks Account for and on behalf of the Business.

I didnt pay anyone by mistake. I put the 8ta cell number as the number to load. So the money has gone into telkoms account, and they will score. Thats it. Pity they dont have a process in place to check if the number is even valid for that prepaid voucher.

You quoted my whole quote, so I assume you are not talking about having to wait 24 hours for money to transfer from your cheque account to your credit card. With my FNB account all transfers between accounts are instant.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you two are saying but on FNB I can transfer funds between my cheque and credit card accounts immediately.

Yeah, thats why I moved most of my banking to FNB. Standard Bank is the one that takes 24 hours.

I'll stick to eBucks. June eBucks reward was eB8 767 which equates to R876.67 (5 x more than my total bank fees to FNB). My ebucks balance is sitting on just over eB20 500 after I used most of it a few months ago to buy tickets on Emirates.

I can swop this eBucks out now for R3 400.00 Makro vouchers but trying to save it up for an end of year holiday.

I am on level 5.
