Standardbank and the 'do not contact me' ticks

So I financed my vehicle though standard bank.
I make sure I specify that I do not want to be contacted with any special offers from them or 3rd parties.
Yet just about every month since purchasing my vehicle I get calls from their insurance department etc wanting to sell me stuff.

Would hellopeter help or is there a specific person I can go punch in the face?

They called me up on Friday, telling me that I had opted not to be contacted with new offers, but that they had great new offers and if I would like to hear about it.
So they are spamming me spam, as not to spam me, trying to get permission to spam me.

The phrase rhymes with clucking bell.

Every time they call, remind them that you chose not to be contacted at all by them, and in accordance with your rights they MUST remove you from their call lists and if they contact you again you will be lodging a complaint.

I would also HelloPeter them, Tweet at them and Escalate a complaint through their service channels until they get the message.

Most banks just don't give a flying hoot, but I'll make sure to let the person know who ends up calling me that I did not give Standard bank my permission.

Just tell them they sound HOT ( in an appropriate voice ), ask them if they want to come over & ask them what colour panties they're wearing. Calls usually stop after that plus it's so much fun...

The moment that I hear that it is a telemarketer, I simply say "Not interested thanks" and hang up on them. I do not wait for the inevitable convincing argument that is to follow. I just hang up. The amount of effort that it takes to get them to take you off the list is more than the effort that it takes to tell them to **** off and hang up.

Another option is to verbally abuse them. They have notes on their system and if you are an *******, the person will put that note there. Lowering the chance that the next person will phone you.

The person phoning you is simply trying to earn a living and also does not give a flying hoot about the product. Sometimes I feel bad because I don't give these guys a chance to explain their fantastic offer. But then I lie down for five minutes and feel nothing.

Pity that we are reduced to being bastards just to try and get them to stop calling you.
One would think it irritates 100% of the people being phoned, but i does not.
I know 2 people who signed phone contracts due to cold calling.
That to me is irresponsible; do your homework, then go get what you want.

So I guess they don't consider their own departments to be 3rd parties.
