I still don't understand why an extra channel (for which you pay extra) that is password protected should have those kinds of restrictions on it.

Jasa, what do you suggest they show on that channel between 5am and 11pm? Church?

The Justice Alliance of South Africa (JASA) is a coalition of corporations, individuals and churches committed to upholding and fighting for justice and the highest moral standards in South African society.

Why isn't religious programming subject to time restrictions and passwords? Do I really want my children exposed to that kind of sick material?

Says all we need to know.
I doubt they even know the meaning of those words.

JASA seems to be just another name for the morality police.

Top TV is not a channel, it is a satellite network/service provider. The porn will be on a separate opt-in bouquet. Then there is a pin-based parental control system on the decoder. So all in all this is not free to air un-monitored unsecured porn. If DSTV can show R18 movies (which they successfully defended in the past because of the parental control system) in the day then what is the problem for TopTV?

This is again a bunch of conservative "kerk tannies" and busy-bodies trampling on freedom of speech and the rights of others because it doesn't sit right with them. Now they fall on the "think of the children" fallacy to hide their infringements.

From their website: "he Justice Alliance of South Africa (JASA) is a coalition of corporations, individuals and churches committed to upholding and fighting for justice and the highest moral standards in society." These institutions have no authority over me to determine what moral values should be. They have no locus standi in this case. They must take a hike and practice their "moral code" somewhere else. Damn prudes.

They must be bored, getting a thrill out of dictating how other people should live their lives.

I don't see them fighting zuma, nkandla or the etolls. Where are the fighting for the highest moral standards?
