Anyone has a plan

LOL what? You're asking us for your business's ideas? Sure, cut me in for 50% equity and I'll spitball all day.
Anyone has a plan

Just saying one can resell on networks, one is legally allowed to build their own networkssjoe calling out?

who is the reseller? It's mostly just fibre now![]()
And one is a licensed ISP, the other one is just a reseller![]()
The other ISP I was compared with, you know which onewho is the reseller?
Then you are mistaken. The other ISP I was compared with, you know which one![]()
Do they have licenses? Their own AS number and ip ranges? I'm not up to date with the company. Then you are mistaken.
Yes. You cannot become an Openserve wholesale customer without them.Do they have licenses? Their own AS number and ip ranges? I'm not up to date with the company.
License yes, but the IPs are still owned by IS.Yes. You cannot become an Openserve wholesale customer without them.
His current licence does not allow that.Koeks SADV is not making any progress. Why dont you expand to Tygerfalls DFA has fiber here and everyone in this complex is tired of telkom.
Spoke with an ex-Telkom employee who now works for Vodacom. He worked in accounts at Telkom and could tell me, quite confidently, that in order to operate as an ISP, I would need to approach ICASA for licensing requirements. Said, that alone, would cost in the region of R300k.
Anyone ho is currently operating as an ISP care to comment on that?
Should be relevant?

Barier to entry does not look that steep to me.
Definitely. And I am looking at this. (I'm saving money on the side)
I want to start a wisp for Tygerwaterfront and tygerfalls small area 1000s of flats in this radius and I know most of the body corporates here and collective investors who own these tower of buildings I have permission to put up the wireless hardware on the roofs of these 6 story buildings if I wanted too. So that side is covered.
It's just licensing and equipment costs. Then I need to hire 2 installers and 1 more support technician as I will also be doing the various roles.
(all pipe dreams, but I am sort of working on it. I did the market research survey each flat and I have 500 signatures of people willing to sign up for a R200 a month package with 100Gb data of that means they dont have to deal with telkom.)
