Why is the Zondo Commission taking so long, and why is all criminal/corruption prosecutions on hold until the commission wraps up, ........?
Because only the gullible and naive believe anything will change or come of that bottomless pit farce of money that is the zondo commission.

I don't know where you get the idea that all criminal prosecutions are on hold until conclusion of the Zondo commission, as the commission has still a long way to go. No-one, from the president to the NPA, would even think of delaying prosecutions - the public outcry would sink them.

Here's a succinct article by a constitutional law expert explaining the need to ensure that cases, that goes forward to prosecution, needs to be airtight https://www.dailymaverick.co.za/opi...-the-wheels-of-justice-are-turning-so-slowly/

MyBb is one place where someone can make up a fallacy and run with it as if it's the most natural thing in the world.

A vast part of SA's "economy" is informal and illegal. Generally comprising individuals stealing and selling on goods.

Coal, timber, electricity, water, diesel. Etc. Etc. Etc. The less easy it is to trace the better. And then bribes... everywhere. Counterfeiting documents (well actual real documents often enough, but manufactured by the people supposed to oversea such processes) for bribes.

This is so huge in SA it boggles the mind. Making everything more expensive for everybody. Worsening the problem.

The scary thing I’ve found is that this is so huge that I reckon it’s truly SA’s one unifying culture (if you law obeying you likely in the minority of people that do) which seems to transcend race. It’s why I find it fascinating that on this forum people love claiming it’s others when in private sector I’ve seen every color of person catching on **** and from every political persuasion too.

I also find it interesting that closed off communities are getting hit more frequently by scam artists in their own communities because this shows how prevalent these guys/girls are.

The big S is the real problem.

It bloody hell was. The difference is that they were far more competent at being corrupt than the ANC. Thus they knew that if they wanted to keep skimming off the top and getting their pals into cushy positions, the systems they administered had to at least appear functional.

They even had a fkking name for it.
