So much this, what happened just across our borders.

Then you get ******** imports with a passport in their back pockets like this still fanning the flames:

I really wonder if he was chased away and thrown out where he was, or ran away. No better than other race baiting lowlife trolls.

Is surface a foreigner?? I thought he was a person of colour (see how diplomatic that was) born in SA. I just assumed from the tone and content of his posts.

Where did they say that and based on what economic and legal principle? Nonsense...

....and not sure what SARS has to do with anything?
SARS have direct access to money in your bank account. SARS has direct access to your income tax.

This is what ABSA and Nedbank stated. EWC will be the end of them so they are probably just lashing out with nonsense.

Here is Nedbank's statement. You will find articles on News24 and elsewhere too.

So, Nedbank base this on a contractual agreement, but they conveniently forgot to mention the Force Majeur clause.

I left this POS bank after being with them for 30 years when I read this.

Yes, Nedbank do not have the brightest management or legal people employed. This is also the reason they took this stance. Nedbank has gone down the hill for some time now.

Of course they will say that in that email...it is to cover THEIR arses.

It still means nothing and appropriation has not been covered by Law and there are no precedents.

If my home is taken from me and given to someone els...I will not pay the nond on it and there is no law or contract that can force me to do so.

My house is paid off, I think its time to get a bond again.

I think people are taking their chance when they can because for many without second passports, it can take years to get into another country. Life might be better here now, but it certainly won't be once the country defaults, we have 12 hours a day without power, and they take away your pension.

I'm 42 and still staying in SA, but have almost no assets here, and still probably earn + save more than I could overseas. I do have a second passport, so when (not if) the sht hits the fan, I can leave immediately. If I didn't have that luxury, I'd have been making plans to get out a long time ago.
I hope your money has gone before you.

100% correct, and neither will I pay them a single cent. There currently are legal grounds to end the agreement, but no legal grounds to force anyone to continue paying the bond.

At the end of the day, the ANC is now at a crossroad where they should either reconsider EWC or close their eyes and pull the trigger. Pulling the trigger will absolutely lead to the collapse of private banks and sanctions and most likely a total collapse of the economy.

The big question is what the ANC will do. It seems to me, Ramaphosa might be interested in pulling the trigger, especially looking at his comments about having a State Bank ready "in case" private banks should collapse. Seems he is preparing for the worst.

Will people stand together and fight? Remeber they are very skilled at slow cooking. They will start very slow and I`m not sure people will fight together when their property has not been taken yet.

you will see, I can predict that if anc is going to ewc, that is the suicide of the anc. apartheid will be back.
