Who will buy when people are fleeing?
No one is fleeing. There is lot of rah-rah & chest beating around. These people are apparently prepared for civil war as per some other idiot on some other thread. Trump's clowns have scattered everywhere it seems.

Will people stand together and fight? Remeber they are very skilled at slow cooking. They will start very slow and I`m not sure people will fight together when their property has not been taken yet.
It would be foolish to fight, give the ANC government what it wants and leave. Any resistance will be crushedn. You can buy another house or make other money in future.

I did long ago. sort of stopped because i've heard it can be a two-edged sword.

Some people got approved but weren't ready to move - i think they give you 2 years or something. Then found out they were however tax liable in the US from the start of the green card and were in trouble for not submitting returns etc. I don't know if thats just rumours or not though.

Either way, I may try again now that the new administration will be more open to foreigners.
The year you are issues the green card, you would be required to submit tax returns. There should be no tax to pay though, and the returns can be filled in trivially using an online service.

you will see, I can predict that if anc is going to ewc, that is the suicide of the anc. apartheid will be back.
But we are told we are already in Apartheid daily on MyBB. Anyway there's great nostalgia about Apartheid here so actually you guys will have great fun.

You have to get out more. I have friends from the US/UK and Netherlands who moved here to SA and swear they will never return. My one friend from the US renounced his US citizenship (mostly for tax reasons though) and swore he would never set foot on US soil again. The guy from the UK is married to a South African who has hinted about maybe one day moving to the UK for their kid's education and he keeps shooting that idea down. The couple from the Netherlands live a few houses away and they do make occasional trips back there for family visits, but they also say they will never move back there permanently. Now I'm not saying that the problems there are anything like ours, but that was straight from them.
Why would he give up US citizenship for tax reasons if he moved to SA?

He earns above a certain threshold which meant he was being double taxed. He gave it up so that he only had to worry about taxes here.

Cool. Where are you hoping to land up? (State/City)

Not any of the main coastal states (California/Oregon/Washington or NY). I can see myself in Texas or North Carolina, perhaps Arizona. I guess Florida is also on the coast, could see myself there as well.

There is the Foreign Earned Income Exclusion that has a limit (approx. $107k), but this only benefits you in low tax countries. The Foreign Tax Credit, however, is unbounded, so unless he would be taxed more in the US on his income than SA, the US obligations should be zero.

Would you give up your property so easily if it was yours they were coming after. I highly doubt it, which makes you a hypocrite.

Our people already gave up property in the face of state might so it won't be the first time it happens in SA.

Why will I buy when we are going to get it for free? We will wait.

You do know that you will not get any land or property for free, right? Once expropriation starts, as with Zim, politicians, their family, friends and cronies will get the best for free. You and those who are not connected will unfortunately need to pay rent on a 5, 10 or 20 year lease. This is how things work. You will never own land.

He knows that, he is just happy that whites will be the victims of state violence. This is not about redistribution, this is about vengeance and hate.
