Hi all this is my first post so hope its in the correct thread most likely not,

anyways i moved from durban having a 10mb line to ladysmith unbeknownst to me that the coverage is useless here im staying on a farm and i cant get a telkom line as i stay to far from the nearest exchange, currently im forced to use MTN with Afrihost but with running my own business i use up my data pretty quick. is there any isp that offers wireless internet coverage throughout south Africa. satellite pricing is ridiculous and the wireless isp providers here are robbing people blind.

Do you know anybody close to you who does have ADSL? If so find out if you have line of sight.

You can then use a long range point to point wireless link.

Well I had a Friend on a Farm that didnt have internet for 13 years, so he Moved to request the Local WISP to install a tower and he would assist in getting the farmers to sign up...

So yeah i think he pays liek 900 bucks for 2-4mb uncapped FUP connection

(Western Cape Tho)

You might have to make an effort on your part to convince WISP's on the Feasibility of installing a Tower where you are
