When is the next Steam Sale? Steam Black Friday Sale 2018 dates and times
Following on from the Steam Halloween Sale, the Steam Black Friday Sale is expected to take place in November 2018. The exact dates haven’t been revealed, but a Steam Black Friday Sale start date of Thursday November 22 seems likely.

In terms of times, Steam Sales usually go live at around 10am PT/6pm GMT/1pm ET. Based on the the past, you should have at least a week to take advantage of all the deals on offer, including on Black Friday itself. Keep an eye on this page as we’ll be adding some of our favourite discounts in the coming days.

Please post your steam wish list or bargains in this thread.

No list of games that goes on sale? Kind of dumb if you ask me, I'd like to make a list in advance and know how much I need to save.

Steam has a deal with game publishers not to release into before the sale starts. The bad part is day 1 of a big sale the steam shop/app/client is super slow.

Nice. I got VI a couple of years ago on a sale and enjoyed it a lot.

Some years ago I played HOMM V, it sucked and I stop playing the newer version. I feel some game is just better in 2D with spirit graphics. I will play HOMM 3 as long as I can use my hand to move the mouse. HOMM IV was not bad but still worse then 3.

HOMM 3 sounds like one of those legendary games that I somehow missed when it came out. I still see regular youtube lets plays of it. I think I should add it it my wishlist and give it a whirl.

I see the reviews of HOMM3 HD edition are rather poor as its just the base game, none of the expansions etc. A lot of reviewers say rather play the base game, or it is too much to ask for what you get. Still, I guess it could be worth a shot if the the special is good. I think I will watch a youtube series or two on it first and then probably go for the complete edition with HD Mod perhaps.

I own the GOG version, online multiplayer is sometimes crashing.
The steam version:
Key Features

A new HD experience: re-live the Heroes® III in HD, a true craftsmanship which offers players updated graphics, with wide screen compatibility.

Enjoy the critically acclaimed Heroes® III gameplay, with 7 exciting campaign scenarios, around 50 skirmish maps, a local multiplayer mode and a map editor.

A new online multiplayer lobby: Now Steamworks compatible, Heroes® III offers an online multiplayer lobby, where you can share your experience with the Heroes III community.

I'm hoping the stream version online multiplayer work better.

Its quite a bad practice to keep games a secret until the sales begin. I'm now less likely to purchase anything on steam during black Friday.

HOMM VI is excellent (imo) - after buggering up V they managed to do everything right, like in III, but with the graphics the game finally deserved. Check out all these reviews - it's got an 80%+ approval rating from nearly every reviewer. Do yourself a favour and check out a Youtube vid or two.

I prefer V to VI, tribes of the east is great. Feels like HMM 2 which is my favourite. Not sure why it gets so much hate.

You're definitely not alone in preferring 5 to 6. I think their different strengths and weaknesses appeal to different types of gamers.

Yeah for me they changed too much of the core mechanics after 5, honestly haven't played 7 though, not sure if I should.

Time is on the short side. and I love playing HOMM 3. The 2D map is easy on my eyes.
