Dying Light is a brilliant game for those that haven't played it yet

Any recommendations on games suitable for primary school kids?
1) Get ScummVM installed: https://www.scummvm.org/downloads/
2) Search here for Kid friendly ScummVM compatible titles: https://www.emuparadise.me/ScummVM_Games/Games-Starting-With-Numbers/21

You basically download the title and create a new folder under the ScummVM program folder for games (just call it games or whatever) then create a folder for each game and unzip the files into each folder. You then use the ScummVM menu to 'add games' and locate the folders (one at a time).
Most of these games are point and click type and they will learn to use the mouse if they don't already know.
Depending on how young they are, the Living Books are great, as are Blues Clues. I don't know many of the others so you'll have to google them, but at a glance I see mixed up mother goose, Mickey's space adventure, Mixed up fairy tails, Winnie the pooh in the 100 acre wood...

For some reason not all the games show, so you have to use some googlefu:

Freddi Fish series: https://www.google.co.za/search?q=freddi+fish+scummvm+site:emuparadise.me
Pajama Sam: https://www.google.co.za/search?q=pajama+sam+scummvm+site:emuparadise.me

Thanks, but not that young. 8 and 10. Will play all the evil stuff if I let them. Halo is the current flavour of the month, but I don't think it is particularly beneficial to the development of young boys.

I JUST started playing Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor for the first time. So far I enjoy it. Is Shadow of War (Currently on sale for R80) a must have experience compared to Shadow of Mordor?

Get Rust for those of you who don't have it... only R100. AMAZING game, and has SA community servers

End game is grindy, but apparently it has been patched since initial release and is a lot better.
Basically it is more of the same with some new combat moves and mounts to ride (or fly)
The fleshed out Nemesis system is also great and being able to build your own orc army is more fun than it sounds.

For R80 you are getting it at a steal. Must buy if you enjoy Shadow of Mordor

Tbh, Shadow of War was good in the beginning, the grind got boring very quickly at a section in the story.
I refused to purchase it due to the loot box system, will purchase a sequel if no loot boxes.

Btw, they did remove it, but the grind is still there. I basically dropped the game about 2/3 of the way through. I did do 100% completion in every area though, one of the few games I love chasing collectibles.

One was stuck in a passageway between two areas, had a troll stuck there, I think my fight lasted nearly 1.5 hours as I couldn't risk getting downed due to instant kill, was pretty fun.

Now Shadow of Mordor, that is a master piece, only dislike the ending. I do not suggest playing most of the DLC's though, I got really annoyed at the ring bearer one, there you're basically useless unless you charge ring and then you're OP. Felt like balancing was off, so either too difficult or a bit unrewarding as too easy.

 how so? If your child has a healthy attachment to reality, is able to distinguish fantasy from the real world, it's a good outlet for the combative energies boys naturally have without getting windows or bones broken.

Ok thanks for this... I'll consider spending money elsewhere then.
I'll 1st play Mordor and then catch War at a later stage. Hopefully for cheaper :)

That said... i 1st need to make time to finish and assassins creed 2. And then properly play the witcher 2.

Last halloween sale also i picked up tomb raider and Deadspace 1 and 2 for cheap cheap. But i havent even installed them lol

I blame the beautiful glorious cancer that is Dota 2 :)

Imho Witcher 3 is substantially better than 2. :p
Witcher 2 felt too linear, even though it was open world (don't judge it by the prologue in this regard, it opens up once you get past it). Witcher 3 is just amazing. I put it on Death March when I first got into it, mobs totally owned me for a while, but putting it down a notch was challenging and enjoyable. The story telling is great, I ended up doing all the side missions instead of the main story as I keep getting side tracked. :D

Shadow of the Tomb Raider – R527.34 (34% off)

WTF???

Yip saw that, going to be at least another year before I will be able to play that game.I was just looking when it popped onto the screen, closed steam and I have not since looked or even considered making a steam purchase.
I only got Doom a few months ago, due to the price not agreeing with me, have you seen GTA 5, pretty much an old game but holding steadfast with it's price.

The good news is at least I will be able to get all the DLC's for rise of the tomb raider for a dime in the future as I only have the base game.To consolidate my self, I am going to start the tomb raider games from the beginning, and work my way up to rise of the tomb raider, hopefully enough time have passed to make it to the year end.Seriously gaming has gotten seriously expensive.
