Look. Fair enough, if they expel him from Stellies...

But to BAN him from all universities for the rest of his life? Essentially taking away his right to education? A bit extreme don't you think?
Yes, to reduce his access to education is a extreme. I questioned that possibly earlier in this thread and it wouldn't be Constitutionally sound. In such a case it is almost then best to leave the country and explore education abroad, even prisoners has a right to education.

I doubt it will happen, it will sink the system.

BTW, the possibility is supported by Universities SA.

I don't think continuing with law will be a good idea, he will have to choose a different field... maybe IT...

No one will or can take away his right to education, his actions will always follow him wherever he goes even if he manages to move abroad.

Has nothing to do with the level of difficulty, point is it would have to be discreet and away from the public eye. Maybe work in an underground lab...
Why? It will all be forgotten anyway in 6 months...
Till the next idiot does something...

Here we go,

The Student Representative Council of Stellenbosch University has released a statement regarding an alleged rape at the university that has been suspended from his residence.

"The SRC is abhorred that our university is yet again faced with an incident of Gender-Based Violence," it said in a statement.

The SRC confirmed that the female student is from another SU residence and that disciplinary proceedings have commenced.

"It can further not be ignored that of the three despicable incidents that took place over the past week, two occurred within the SU men's residences," it stressed.

say this suspect is white, the rape culture drums are going out on parade again.

It's a constitutional right...

But it has been proposed by the public and the governing body nonetheless. Say such a decision is enacted, do you know what it costs to take such a challenge to the courts? Courts aren’t as accessible as people think, and constitutional cases can take years.

Yes, really, what were his actions in your view and do you deem those actions racist?

It might be forgotten but can hinder his future especially if he ever had aspirations in furthering a career in law.

The university governing body's authority applies only to their own university... and I highly the rules of the university allow for such a silly decision.

His actions were recorded on camera... no escaping that
do you deem those actions racist?
