I dont think theres any evidence to support the rape as a racist incident

There isn't, no motive or intention has been established in any case, but I am still curious about why the prosecutor decided on two charges. From that what is known this is not a hate crime based on the hearsay, though the bail hearing, the proceedings, seems to be kept still, maybe not a lot has been said, maybe the process was quick, or it is sensitive.

Probably not. I'm just making the point that the media treats all white on black altercations (verbal or physical) as racist and symptomatic of a general white against black racism problem in this county. But not vice versa.

I honestly do not, under any circumstances have any problem with the colour of my skin nor my heritage or culture. What I do have a problem with is politics and the media since we all want equality.

I know my forefathers had a hand in apartheid, I wont deny it but punishing my bloodline for it is wrong. What is happening now is a disgrace on so many levels, towards all of us in the republic its disgusting. The ruling party is causing such a big divide now that I doubt it will ever be fixed which is unfortunate.

I want to hang out with my neighbours no matter if they are black, white, asian or coloured. I want black, white, asian and coloured kids to feel welcomed and safe in any and all areas of South Africa, I want adults of all colours to feel welcome in any situation and every area of SA but lets be honest, this is not happening, not by a long shot and we all know who is to blame for this.

So to get to your answer, no, I would rather not be born a South African if I had the choice, whether Im black, white, asian or coloured. Its am extremely toxic environment which need rehabilitation although I believe we are beyond that point.
Completely agree with you here. And it's not just the ANC, the media loves to play along and raise racial tensions, they probably know a SA united is a SA unbeatable which would be a threat to them both.

Siya Khumalo | Theuns du Toit gave a five-word account of the obstacle to true reconciliation

The words, "It's a white thing, boy", (allegedly said by the urinator in the Stellenbosch University incident), show we need to unpack apartheid religious logic and its persistance in school and varsity initiation rituals, writes Siya Khumalo.

On this day in 1969, an amendment to the Immorality Act was gazetted. The Immorality Act was one of many apartheid laws that enforced white supremacy, an ideology underwritten by a form of Calvinism that sees races as divinely appointed to different roles in history.

This must have been a really difficult decision.
A) put the phone down and beat him up proper.
B) record him and try to ruin his life.

Great composure to lean towards B.

In most cases I have witnessed, the ‘victim’ didn’t resort to violence. For the most part, the ‘victim’ doesn’t say anything which could better his or her situation.
