He has made the basic mistake with all his education, so what now?

I said he shouldn't have. That was my entire point. Learn to read and maybe you will understand what is being said. Or stop trying to derail the thread if you can read.

You asked me if I have seen the guy's education when I commented on the family business type of CEOs?

I did not respond to your post about him knowing better because of his education, you have just found a way to confuse yourself because of your urge to unnecessarily want to respond to all the posts.

He was not a "victim" of the court
What he did was illegal. Ignorance of the law is no excuse
One phone call to a labour lawyer would have clarified the matter
The first sentence of your reply reveals your poor attitude
Never mind the basic conditions of employment should be any employers default.

No guessing that rvZA would have the same reasoning as this Gaduik character. I am just glad all his businesses are just a figment of his imagination because it would be very tragic if he employed people.

SA legal system does not do punitive damages like the US, we should.
By definition no but pretty sure that might have been normal compensation as well as a severance type pay. Difficult to expect that lady to return to the same place of employment after winning such a case.

Let's put aside labour law for a bit.

Do these business owners think this a good way to treat their employees? You don't need any law to tell you not to be a c*nt.

As a business, all they should have demanded from her were baby photos once she gave birth.

It you want the best out of your employees, you respect them.
Why? Is this a thing?

I think this is a settlement and they have parted ways, maybe they did give her the severance pay when they retrenched her, it looks like the CEO turned this into a retrenchment to get rid of her. The R800k is probably on top of what she has already received.

To send a photo to all staff with a congratulations message. And maybe a R500 Baby City voucher to the new mom (from staff donations).
I get that, it's the part where the management demands the pictures of the baby that I don't, but maybe it would have made a difference here, perhaps the cuteness of the baby would have melted Gaiduk's evil heart.

No need to explain your inability to read properly. All here know about it.

None, But I will admit, I have been having designs on a couple of Zim guys who do odd chores around the complex.

They make me go weak at the knees with their work ethic, of course be in affordable is just an added bonus.

So now the labour law you praise doesn't count when it comes to you employing people? They then become commodities. How did I know you would be a hypocrite?
