Join the club. They have not charged me either. They did phone three month ago to ask if it was OK to take R2000 in one hit but since then nothing.

well um they are using the same billing platform as telkom internet (Portal/Infranet) and i guess if telkom has problems and pays consultants mega $ each month to have meetings in the canteen i guess it is worse at sentech ...

I still haven't been billed either.

I got MyWireless in April and haven't been billed.
I was contacted early this month and was told I owed R2500
After some negotiaton, they agreed to let me pay it off over 3 months on top of my normal R650

So, one of 3 things are going to happen :-

1. I get billed correctly over 3 months with the R2500 split and my normal R650
2. I get billed the entire amount
3. I don't get billed.

If it's 2 or 3, that will be the last straw that will push me to cancel this one-sided, slow service provided by a company with such incompetence, they email private customer info and publically blame users for thier bandwidth problems.

Yep, I will go ADSL temporarily until I see what else comes on the market later this year / early 2005

so out of their 2000 x R1000 (average of the 3 product names) R2m/month they are at least R2000 short a month from just us few who admit it.

I guess Admin, Technical and Finance are equally good at their jobs [:p]

I just checked my bank statement and it appears Seniletech last billed me in May!! I'm not so worried about eventually having to make up with a large payment (at least I get the interest on their error) but in my experience what usually happens with companies that screw up like this is that they list their clients with the credit agencies. Happened to me many times - Netstar/Multichoice etc have done this to me. The left hand screws up the debit order while the right hand reckons they've got a non-paying customer on their hands and lists you with ITC.

yeah, laugh away, I pay a whole R499 p/m for my 128K, so whos laughing now :))

Anyway , its a pity we should laugh at each other, we should all laugh together at the 256 users. while they pay lots more than 128K, they hardly get more bandwidth.

garp, the company who lists you on ITC has a duty to call you to settle payment, or at least send you notices of non-payment, upon the 3rd, they then have the right to sue you, and which, obviously put you on ITC....

noone - I don't know all that much about the credit listing business, but I do know that some companies have unfairly listed me as having "late payments" in the past because they've screwed up the debit order - and none of them ever bothered to contact me about it. Does that mean I can sue their asses??

More to the point, though, does this mean if Sentech just stops billing, the onus is on them to sort it out - I've already pointed this out to them but the gormless helpdesk orcs just responded that I apparently do not have a Sentech contract.

Garp, if you have signed a contract, I guess you are liable for the terms of that contract. Because the other party takes their own sweet time does not mean that you are not liable for your side of the contract. Whether the other party has upheld their side is another issue entirely - or so I believe, in my opinion etc etc

i just checked and it seems that I haven't been billed either. Since May! The **** is going to hit the fan in a BIG way if they phone me and tell me that I owe them some stupid amount...

Wonder how this'll affect my rebate? :)

Damn! I HATE it when companies do this! They just DON'T bill you for a few months, and then somehow it's YOUR fault. Why do I sign a debit order!? So that I DON'T have to run around checking my bank statements every freakin' month to make sure that the money I'm trying to pay people is actually taken! Asses!

I've learnt not to be scared to add my own custom clauses to contracts.

One I usually add is that the contract is not in the official language of my choice being Afrikaans, and that I deny understanding all written in the contract.

If I suspect that people could make a mess of debit orders, I also add that if the debit was not made by the 7th of the month, they may not attempt to do so again, and forfeit payment for that month. If they make an error on with the debit order, I'm entitled to bill them at R500 per hour or part thereoff for time spent on sorting it out.

Amazingly, nobody refused the sale yet. They either accept the Afrikaans clause (which effectively renders the contract useless for them) or they find an Afrikaans contract.

And everybody promises me that they have foolproof systems and never make debitorder errors :)
