What is wrong with the people. Do yourself a favour and go and watch Stock Cars one Saturday. You will be amazed at how exciting it is.

I regularly go to Killarney and watch Jesse Huggett and Richard Stassen. The midgets are also fun. 1660 class is a bit boring sometimes. and then there's the minis which almost always have an accident.

P.S. Don't go to Killarney without a blanket and/or warm clothes.

Afternoon/evening of the 21st.. left there before it ended and went to check out street drags instead

Drags can't be that exciting. On the 14th of October, two of the Minis went into each other and into the wall. Did you see that?

Hi stormer208,

Yep, I like to watch stockcars as well - mostly watch at Worcester, kleiplasie and "groot band".

I was actually googling for the next race in worcester - found this thread.

Tell me: when is the next meeting in worcester? And where can I find a calendar of events?

If there is no website for SA stockcars...then I think we should do something about that :)

I've been to a couple of Stock car races in my life but none lately.

Mostly the Mahem Track in PTA. I just love those Sexy GX's .... / Drool

Well what do people want to see on the site?

Race dates - yes
Results? - probably
Pics? - yeah
Driver profiles? Forums?

Start simple and then work on it. Im keen. Whats in version 1 of the site?

Website for Stock Cars

I totally agree with you.
A website for stock cars will definitely grow the sport.
Maybe we can do something together.

I went to the Killarney one a few weeks ago, the wind was pumping and it got cold later at night, but wow! I couldn't keep my eyes off the oval racing circuit.
Its really great fun. I think it was the nationals when I was there. Very aggressive racing and nail biting.
There were a lot of kids and families there to support their favourite racing drivers, and many were even having a braai behind the oval stands.

I strongly suggest checking it out one saterday afternoon, and with summer on its way, its a perfect family fun day.

Im not sure what the schedule is, but hopefully stormer can shed some light on that for us.
