You should have said something when it was at R14.https://www.moneyweb.co.za/news/companies-and-deals/lewis-and-pepkor-surge-to-52-week-highs/
I think Lewis are the classic example of share that's undervalued by the market because it's unpopular or 'not sexy' - has traded below it's book value (about R58 per share I think) for several years despite the business remaining in the black and being a decent dividend payer. I believe there were some issues a few years ago but perhaps it's time they got a bit more love from the Market.
Kudos to anyone holding shares bought at R14!

Share value is the primary factor. It does not look at future growth, past performance, dividends or financial stability. What metric(s) are you using?
Undervalued is not just the share price. It is the share price compared to the company's net asset value. I think.Share value by itself is a pretty meaningless metric.
Two identical companies could have very different share prices just depending on how many shares they have in issue. E.g. say both companies are "worth" R100m but company A has issued 1m shares and company B has issued 5m shares. Then the share price of company A will be R100 while for company B the share price will only be R20 even though the companies themselves are "worth" exactly the same amount.
Future cash flows is very problematic. It's a giant guessing game.I've based undervalued on future cash flows and market ratios in the list above.
Stats on five companies in that list.

That's why I leave it to the smart people to do the calculations.Future cash flows is very problematic. It's a giant guessing game.

The shares the experts are pumping will definitely go up. The risk is just they won't market it as much when the eventually dump it and leave you holding something like a steinhoff. That's why I leave it to the smart people to do the calculations.![]()
Does insider trading hold merit? The shares the experts are pumping will definitely go up. The risk is just they won't market it as much when the eventually dump it and leave you holding something like a steinhoff.
I am very sceptical about how much research these guys really do.
